Why guess at anything? Trades will happen when they happen. Because this is a forum to talk about hockey, and part of hockey includes speculation of trades and roster moves? We as fans are free to discuss speculate about any part of hockey we wish. and this time of year, which is very exciting for a lot of fans (myself included), is the annual trade period, where everyone wants to speculate about what their team will do and how it will impact the final standing, future of teams, etc.. If you do not want to join in that's okay, but no need to try and get everyone else to stop just because you don't agree with it. Don't poke "The Jack".

Guessing who will add what is a completely different discussion then how many trades will happen on a specific day. In an online world where I can create a twitter account and inspire pages of useless discussion I suggest we avoid the "how many trades will happen on X day" discussion and focus on the who's and where's based on simply who are logical fits. It's not about agreeing/disagreeing with anything. There's simply nothing to gain from a "how many trades will we see today" kind of discussion.

Sort of smells like a futures deal in there. Tough to judge a young goaltender on a bottom feeder though. On November 18, BC put 48 shots on him and only scored 3 goals, and lost ... must have impressed then. BC has not been known for their good decisions. well Baie Comeau is also a bottom feeder so his numbers will likely not get much better if at all... and they had 4 chances to draft him last year before he was taken if they really liked him it's just a very strange deal I don't think they are looking for the 16 yo to come in and be there #1 now ... just a guy that can be the #1 in the future. It doesn't matter how bad BC is now. My comment was on simply deciding that he was not that good based on his numbers this year.

Why guess at anything? Trades will happen when they happen. Where's the fun in that ? Since it's so important to you hal: How many trades do YOU see happening today? I predict 3-5 but only 1 directly involving a Maritime team but 2 Maritime players involved. History tells me to expect 1.74 trades today but I think we can easily top that kind of history today since today, being Monday and all, is very important in terms of a day during the trade period. How much farther can we analyze this? Can we get chsb and Billy to weigh in on the Monday's of trade periods and how busy they should be? Seems like there's some very passionate people about this discussion so I better check back after my subway lunch and see an extra page or 2 in this discussion!

I just find it weird that a late second round pick who has terrible stats is now worth a first from a team 6 months later who passed on the goalie 4 times this summer is all \

Where will BC finish next year ... approximately ... mid-pack ? I think you are over-thinking Ahern ... he is sort of like Couturier that can't seem to follow a plan.

Why do you say he can't follow a plan? His '99-'00 core is pretty good with Joly, Chekhovich, Aucoin, Fortier, Element, St-Laurent, Bouchard and now Blanchette. He has 2 top 5 picks in the next draft. He had two first picks in the 2018 draft, traded his own but kept Gatineau's which should another high pick. His plan will bring back Baie-Comeau at the top of the league within 2 years.
