Why did Viel drop the gloves. He is the captain and should not have been talked into the scrap. That is the differance between Viel and Theede. Dumolong was the same. The league deceided his fate along with Maillet, for making hard hits. The same will happen to Veil. He is on probation now , and the league, long with Mr magic in Moncton will make sure that he plays a figure skating game. Christian will make sure that any tough, hard hitting player from Bathurst will have to be light on his feet for the last part of the season. Theede was wiser and more patient,

This is why it will be so important that Murphy and Rafuse step up in the physicality departement.

Play like last Sunday, our toughest player is now gone for two game, and it was not good for Veil, We will not beat Mooseheads, or Isles without toughness and coaching. This is Xmas , not year end. Offensively we have definitely improved,on defense, Ivan will be our differance with Galipeau, Dobson should improve on his defensive game, he is great on the offensive side, and Holwell is not given the credit he has earned over the last year and a half, the team is great on the offensive side, goaltending, not proven yet, and toughness, not a matter of size, but into the corners, in front of the net and at the blue line will determine how far we go. Behind the bench will determine what we do. Speaking of that, it was determined a staged fight by the refs In my mind this means that the fight was ordered from the bench with the Coach fully knowing what was the situation with Viel's cumulated code penalties. I find it appalling that he could request his Captain to fight knowing the consequences. IMO it had everything to do with a Coach that was put on notice and who unloaded that weight on his Captain. You are right in repeating the importance of good coaching. He was not put on notice, from a good source !

it was likely a carry over from the game in Charlottetown where your team was trying to start shit at the buzzer by the benches

Stage fights do not mean they were ordered by the Coach ... they simply mean that two guys agreed to fight off the faceoff, and the fight had nothing to do with the play.

Theede was wiser and more patient, Another difference between Viel and Theede is that Viel is a better offensive player playing 1st line and is the C because of his leadership. Do I miss Theede? Certainly but let's not make this a whole new issue. Remember we had to trade Theede to get Galipeau. Fot the future we need some bottom-6 guys to take over from Theede and Viel.

Titans are slowly falling behind in the standings, they're currently 5 points out of the top 5 now..pretty disappointing to say the least
with 27 games left, Titans need to win 18 games to MATCH last years total wins, you'd think with a much better team this year we'd be able to get above 40 wins especially in an overall weaker year for the league... going 18-9 from now until seasons end isn't terrible but still...

the Titans next 6 games are when this team needs to wake up, they face 4 weaker teams in Chiocoutimi, Baie-Comeau, and 2 against Saint John, those are all games that need to be won, then 1 against Quebec, and 1 against Haliax, Titans should be able to win 4/5 out of 6 games.

Anything less than 4/6 would be awful.

The other titan poster would've said the Titan "will" win the next 6.

I say give this team 5 to 10 more games and if we move up from 8th spot we should be ok, if we go down we're fucked. On paper we have what it takes for a good run, but on the ice it's up to all the players not just a few. I say after 10 more games we're going to be in 4th place overall.

There's no reason why this team can't crack the top 5, even the top 3, but consistency issues caused them to trail behind so top 5 is the aiming point now
