Players should've bused here sooner to get ahead of the virus. In all seriousness people complain about an over-reaction. But you'd much rather over-reactions than under-reactions when you're talking about people's well-being. I hope they get a vaccine distributed soon and we can stop this before more people get hurt or worse. Happy that it sounds like Halifax and Truro will get next year's tournament. If they had to wait a few years, it would probably be here right around when the Mooseheads were good again, and being displaced to the Forum would be a pain in a go-for-it year.

It's an agreement the IIHF has with hockey Canada/Hockey NS I believe I read yesterday so Halifax/Truro will get the 2021 women's worlds. in My humble opinion the media is blowing this out of proporotion and people are panicking Costco is selling out of cases of Water and of Toilet paper. People be sanitary wash your hands, wipe down surfaces, don't touch your face. Actually a good recommendation I have though if you take public transit is buy lysol wipes and wear gloves if you have to touch anything and try to sit away from people. A good idea that was actually reccomended to me is when you get home take your lysol wipes and wipe down your bag and the outside of your phone. I'm glad for people's safety there being cautious though, I work in a seniors home and we have started putting restrictions on people they have to do a self screening before entering any of our buildings, if you have to call in sick you'll be asked if your experiencing respitatory symptoms, just so a supervisor can call and do a screening with you and determine if you need to be referred to public health, wonder what the policy in the Q will be? I read yesterday the media is starting to restrict media access to locker rooms.

I read yesterday the media is starting to restrict media access to locker rooms. The reaction on necessities like toilet paper makes perfect sense. There's a huge risk that as a society we may be asked to work from home, avoid malls, costco's, etc at the peak of this thing to control the spread. Would you rather be stuck at home for 2 weeks with things like toilet paper or running dangerously low? And I don't know about your household but in mine when someone is sick...stomach, respiratory, or otherwise, we tend to go through more of something like toilet paper. And i'm not even sure if the fear is mongering at this point. The spread is happening and we can't control it. Governments in some cases are misleading or just telling lies to try and save money and make themselves look smarter then they really are. And leaders like Trumps cutting funding to things like the CDC a year ago and acting like a babbling idiot the last week about the virus leads right into this thing blowing up and causing chaos. People should be concerned and be taking precautions. And buying all the toiletries/non perishable goods they can find. To the point that i'd say we should all have a 2-4 week supply to be safe in case we can't or shouldn't leave or houses.

That's where this is heading. Rather then being the rational people with no toilet paper you're forced to react to the hysteria. Unless you view it as optional We are the "go to a grocery store weekly" type of people. But if we're going to be asked/told to not go out for potentially weeks at a time there's going to be some hoarding that goes on. For those with multiple kids or taking care of seniors I feel there's no choice but to be overly prepared or risk being highly inconvenienced.

To the point that i'd say we should all have a 2-4 week supply to be safe in case we can't or shouldn't leave or houses. If everybody does that there will be no supplies to buy. There's a lot of layers to the toilet paper crisis. Supply Chain issues due to the rail blockades took a huge dent in the inventories and Costco was hit the worst. Then when people started posting on FB that Costco was selling out other people inevitably panicked and ran to the stores to buy mass quantities with the Coronavirus panic. FWIW Sobeys and Superstore had plenty of stock in Moncton when I was out this weekend. While I think being prepared isnt a bad idea at this point given whats happening in Italy and that we are a few weeks behind them I would also agree with you that going out and buying 6 months worth of necessities is overkill and only hurting the people who actually end up in a self quarantined situation and inevitably need some of these essential products delivered to them.
