The Giants made the playoffs and won their first playoff game against another playoff team. They were not a joke. Did you actually notice what Jones was doing this year? He is not a joke any more. Check out the scores from the Eagles games this year. They weren't all blowouts and they did come back in a few of those games and some were close games. They Eagles got to Purdy and sidelined him. Did any other team get to Purdy? He was undefeated up to that point. So no compliments to the Eagles D for knocking him and Johnson out? So they don't deserve where they are? The SF D still had to play and did not stop the Eagles. Man no respect at all. I watched the Giants, I watched Jones he isn’t a good QB. They beat the Vikings who a lot of people were touting as fraudulent, they proved to be. The Giants weren’t some juggernaut who were going to put up a fight. The Eagles D got to Purdy but to suffer a UCL injury is terrible luck on that play, you don’t get credit for injuring a QB and then claiming how good the D is. Johnson is a 4th string QB with a list of teams a mile long, he’s horrible. Then gets hurt, and they have to put a QB in who can’t throw a ball. It’s easy to play D when a team can’t move the ball, it’s hard to play D when your offence can’t move the ball. I have never said the Eagles don’t deserve to be where they are. The Eagles are good and you again play who you play, there’s nothing they can do about that. They have a really good defence, they may have very well won the game no matter the QB situation for the 49ers but playing Mahomes isn’t playing the other 2 QB’s they’ve faced. The Eagles earned where they are, they’re a great team but I don’t know how wondering what they’ll do with a QB/Coach who’s never been in a playoff situation like this, is disrespectful to them? SF didn't lose QB's to bad luck, the Phillie DL clobbered them and dominated a very good SF OL. No QB is good when running for his life on every passing play. Plus he has a high ankle sprain further limiting his mobility. Based on the football that has been played so far, Phillie is the heavy favorite. They faced the toughest schedule this year while KC faced the 16th hardest. eatdrinkandsleepfootball.com/schedule/strength-of-schedule.html

I never said Sirianni wasn’t a great coach but it’s easy to coach in the regular season/playoffs when you’re blowing teams out. It’s a lot tougher to coach in a close game, in the biggest pressure point of your season. That’s when you’re going to find out what you’ve truly got IMO. He hasn’t done it in the playoffs in a big game, people can talk about blowing out the Giants but they’re the Giants with a bad QB and the 49ers who had no QB for most of the game. That doesn’t show me he can do it in a pressure cooker like the playoffs. You can only coach the games you get to play so that’s not on him but he still hasn’t shown he’s that guy yet in the big situations. The Giants made the playoffs and won their first playoff game against another playoff team. They were not a joke. Did you actually notice what Jones was doing this year? He is not a joke any more. He's probably as good now as he's going to get and thats not a QB you build around long term in my opinion. He might not be a joke. But thinking he's going to lead a team anywhere might be one.

QB’s don’t suffer serious elbow injuries regularly, to do so in the NFC championship is bad luck. To lose their 4th string to a concussion after he hits his head on the turf, isn’t necessarily bad luck because that happens more frequently, to have it happen when you’re down to a QB who literally can’t throw a ball, is pretty bad luck. You can call Philadelphia a heavy favourite, they’re not though. They’re a 1 or 1.5 point favourite depending on when you check the line. This game isn’t seen as a blow out, it’s a pick ‘em. I’ve never said Philly isn’t deserving though, just I’ve questioned what their Coach will do in crunch time of a close game of this magnitude. He’s never been in a game like this before. That seems like a fair thing to wonder about, especially coming off games against mediocre to below average QB’s in blow out games. It’s a little different when you’re facing the best QB in the game, injured or not he’s a hell of a lot better then Daniel Jones or a combo of your 4th string/3rd string who can’t throw a ball.

KC had the better QB against TB 2 years ago and the Defense made all the difference. If your QB has little or no time to throw, you won't score 30 points.

This doesn't overall prove my statement about Jones. lol 13) Daniel Jones, New York Giants The gap between Tier 3 and Tier 4 is large, and it feels weird to rank someone like Jones — who has improved tremendously — right below players like Rodgers and Smith. But he’s played well. The first half of the season was better than the second half, but even then, he ranked tenth in quarterback efficiency, in part because of his running game. He showed plenty of capability in the playoffs to prove he deserves consideration to move up a tier. www.profootballnetwork.com/qb-power-rankings-2022/

The only problem with average NFL QB's is teams giving them 40-50M a year like Dallas with Prescott thinking the alterative is some kind of hell. Now Dallas is stuck...they could probably get a guy as good much cheaper in Garoppolo or Carr but they are locked in with 89M of dead money if they move on. That list has Prescott way too high. I would put Hurts and Burrow ahead of Allen who has way too many turnovers.

Aaron Rodgers is going on ......An Isolation Retreat to Contemplate his Future .........as The Packers wait a little longer . You just spent 4 days lying about your Handicap and playing in The Pebble Beach Pro-Am .....but you need some Alone Time to sort it all out ? I thought he was a little sketchy when he got caught lying about the Vaccine but now I just think the guy might just give Kyrie Irving a run for his money ....for who is the biggest Whack Job in Sports .

I thought he was a little sketchy when he got caught lying about the Vaccine but now I just think the guy might just give Kyrie Irving a run for his money ....for who is the biggest Whack Job in Sports . When Favre left GB he pondered and dragged it on as well (two years or so of "will this be it") and in doing so probably left his team in limbo while he decided. Then when he announced it officially there was a tear laden press conference tribute. He was retiring...but didn't stay retired ended up a Jet and a year later a Viking. A direct opponent of the Packers. When Favre stalled and was given all the time he needed to make a decision the world waited. He sort of ruined it for the next guy (Rodgers) who people will not be as patient with given how Favre turned around and kept playing after an emotional farewell. I really respect the guys who walked away without long retirement process. I know some will say these players owe these organizations nothing. I get it that since fans/media put these people on a pinnacle it sometimes hard to face reality and that climbing their way down is going to hurt.

Sounds like Carr is headed to NO, they will have some fun cap gymnastics to make it work. They are already 60M over the cap and he makes 30+M...they will be paying washed up guys for 3-4 years down the road.

I'd rather "loony Aaron" over most of the other options that will be available to teams needing a QB. The idea of getting away from it all to figure out an important life decision is one of the more normal things the guy does. I think he's still a top 5 guy who can win if put in the right situation (San Francisco) and given some luck on the health front.

I think in a locker room with a lot of solid veterans (like SF for example) there's a better chance he shuts up and performs vs a New Orleans or NYJ situation. Those types of teams would be disasters because of the factors you mentioned. Ultimately its his salary that makes it the most difficult to find a good situation. I see him deciding to retire for that reason. He won't want to play for less on a good team.

He could stay in GB, but from media leaks they let him know they would prefer him gone to see what they have in Love.
