Instant classic game, the better QB and coach won though. When crunch time was on the duo dialled it up and made the plays necessary.

Credit to Bradberry too, he answered the bell and said “It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide.”
The penalty was something you could maybe let slide but by the rule and the player himself, a penalty none the less.

Oh look....Super Bowl discussion.
Hell of a game. High scoring 3 point game. Great to watch 2 high powered offenses go at it. Mahomes gutted it out in legendary fashion.
As a neutral observer I thought it was a great game. Would have went with Kelce as MVP though.

Amazing half time show too despite what Trump said about Rihanna being the worst ever.

Amazing half time show too despite what Trump said about Rihanna being the worst ever. The staging was really cool. As an act I think she was average for a Super Bowl halftime....no special guests to really push it into the tier of some others we've seen over the years. Still holding out for another big time rock act here before pop completely takes over the music world. Maybe next year instead of thanking Canada we can get Dave Grohl to perform.

Who was the MVP though… it was probably Hurts but you’re not going to give it to the losing team. Bolton maybe could have made a case, Kelce as well. Toney honestly probably has the biggest play of the game because if he doesn’t return that punt, I’m not sure they win. Obviously we’ll never know but it felt to me like that was when the tables turned.

Like I said before the Chiefs O-Line isn’t a slouch. It’s not all to do with play calling, they’re actually good.

Agree that they played well, but Reid mixed in a lot of plays to protect them so Mahomes wasn't sitting back 4-5 seconds with the ball...lots of RPO's, runs and quick hitters. I think Siriani's inexperience showed up, Eagles played wayyy too conservative most of the 2nd half. They stopped attacking and trying to get the ball to Smith, Brown and Goedert by running inside a bunch of times.

I thought Sirianni’s lack of big game experience would be a problem, we’ve never seen him in a close playoff game of this magnitude. Some people wrote that off as not mattering but like you said, I think his inexperience showed. That and some terrible play calling by the defence. The 2 touchdowns late the Chiefs set up some plays that showed how the Eagles were going to play them. The Chiefs then exploited it and literally ran the same play but flipped it for the other one. I give credit to the Chiefs for doing that but I also place a lot of blame on the Eagles for not recognizing it.

I think the play that kept KC in the game was mostly the Hurts "drop" when Phillie was going up and down the field and KC's offense was struggling after the 1st drive. The terrible punt that Toney nearly took all the way gave them a huge boost in the 2nd half.

I know people like to fixate on those plays & ref calls in the final 2 minutes but when you make mistakes earlier like 1) drop a key pass, 2) miss a FG, 3) allow a huge punt return ---- its the same game and affects the outcomes.
I didn't want KC to win but it isn't the job of the officials to call the game different just because it late in game and we want a more exciting finish. They will get flack for making that hold call, and I have seen similar situations where people are mad when they don't make a call like that.
Philadelphia had a lead at half and could have better controlled that game but they blew it. That the hold call play is even what tipped the scale is debatable. It took a few turns on them.

Philadelphia had a lead at half and could have better controlled that game but they blew it. That the hold call play is even what tipped the scale is debatable. It took a few turns on them. The Eagles definitely made too many key mistakes...the terrible punt, the gift TD from Hurts, the blown coverages on two walk in TD's in 2nd half. They were also too conservative in 2nd half, too much run and short passes, not enough shots to their WR and Goedert. I'm not saying they lost because of that call, but the officials didn't call much all game, lots of shoving on deep throws, lots of holds on the OL...then you call a ticky tack hold with the game on the line. Had they thrown 20 flags all game and they call that...no problem, you set the standard...but the standard all game was to let them compete. Had Bradberry tackled him coming out of the break, damn right throw the flag, but not on a hand on the back like that.
