Time to feed Fleury to the Montreal media wolves and see if they can rattle him ... Hasn't Fleury played historically very well in Montreal? hopefully that's not a huge problem this round haha... In Montreal I'm not sure of but Fleury has a record of 22-13-6 in 42 games with a goals against average of 3.12 and a save percentage of .897 versus the Canadiens over the course of his career so far.

And I believe Fleury was the Penguin goalie in 2010 when Montreal won that series. That series was his first loss since 2008 vs Wings. 2010 Montreal upset Caps & Pens in consecutive rounds via Halak.

Vegas' beat out Tampa Bay’s and Colorado’s to win his first Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s goalie of the year.
The Golden Knights tandem of Fleury and already won the William M. Jennings Trophy, for combining to allow an NHL-low 124 goals this season.
The 36-year-old Fleury finished third in the NHL with 26 wins, a 1.98 goals-against, .928 save percentage and six shutouts in 36 games.
He also closed the season with a nine-game winning streak, while moving into third place on the NHL career list with 492 wins.

Fleury recorded his 3rd shutout of the season last night stopping 37 shots to beat the Ducks 3-0. Amazing considering the team in front of him.
That was his 505th win (3rd all time) and his 70th career shutout (14th all time)

Fleury now has 532 career wins. Anyone think that he will get 20 more to pass Roy for all time career wins?
1. Martin Brodeur 691 2. Patrick Roy 551 3. Marc-Andre Fleury 532

There are still people out there who think MAF is not a Hall of Famer for whatever reason. 3 cups, Vezina, Jennings, will be 2nd all time in wins and potentially top 10 all time in shutouts (needs 3 more). Yeah he had a couple of meltdowns in his career but he is an all time great, period.

You can wipe out the 2 cups watching Murray win and he's still a hall of famer. You can wipe out the Cup he won beating Detroit and he's still a hall of famer. You can wipe out the Vezina and he's still a hall of famer. Wins by a goaltender is an all time stat we use to measure greatness. To finish your career 2nd all time in NHL history makes you a hall of fame goaltender. Add on all the other stuff and anyone still trying to question it might need to find a new sport to find to find a cure for their bitterness.

I'm still a tad salty that he tried to move the Islanders, but there's no denying he's a guaranteed hall of famer and anything less is a crime. Even Roy and Brodeur had their struggles in their career. If hiccups in the career is grounds for losing HoF rights, no player would ever be inducted.

I think MAF was more or less unfairly given the unreliable label before his career even really started when he scored on himself at the WJC. He never really shook that label off, even when he was on top of his game for whatever reason. Haters gon' hate I guess. But despite his so called "playoff struggles" he is tied for 3rd all time in playoff wins, and his .911 playoff save % is every bit as good as Brodeur and Roy ahead of him (.918, .919). And he is entertaining to watch. He is one of the last few remaining high energy, reflex-style goalies. Jonathan Quick being the other that comes to mind. The new breed of goalies is all 6'5" factory robots.

With the 4-3 win over the Blue Jackets last night - Fleury is now tied with Patrick Roy for 2nd all time career wins;
1. Martin Brodeur 691 2. Marc-Andre Fleury 551 3. Patrick Roy 551
I don't see anyone catching these 3 anytime soon. Next in line for active goalies is soon to be 38 year old Jonathan Quick with 384 wins.

What are the odds he would beat his former junior head coach behind the opposing teams bench as their head coach to tie Patrick Roy for 2nd. The dive to save the empty netter just adding to the theatrics. Fleury hasnt gotten the proper credit for being the wholesome personality he has been for the NHL over the past 20 years. Everything we see about the guy is genuine. From the pranks and jokes with teammates and former teammates to the on ice success while being in some crappy situations but never being a crappy teammate or voicing his displeasure.
