A little surprised nobody brought up the terrible news from yesterday..... very likely we've seen the last of this generations greatest golfer and possibly most influential athlete of all time. Sad day no matter what your thoughts on his past personal troubles.

Well they say he is extremely lucky to not be dead actually he's also 46 still recov ering from his 5th back surgery and now faces a very lengthy recovery from shattered legs you dismiss it like he fell down a small flight of stairs not needed the jaws of life to extricate him from an SUV that rolled over multiple times and was damaged beyond fixing

Well it was a car accident that shattered his ankle and resulted in multiple fractures requiring surgery. So an athlete, even a golfer, to come back from that at 45 already having a bad back (worse now, no doubt) it seems likely that his competitive career is over now. You're on the polar end of the dead argument by making it sound like a simple leg break that most people easily recovery from. This was a devastating car accident that he was lucky to live through.

You said we would not see him again, he may not win again at golf but he isn't dead. At this point that the main concern. If he never golfs professionally again but has a normal life, that's not a bad thing.

What he said was that it is "...very likely we've seen the last of this generations greatest golfer and possibly most influential athlete of all time." Which is a pretty noteworthy news item to sports fans. That's exactly word for word copy and pasted what he said. Not Tiger is dead. He said it's a sad day one of most influential athletes, to many the #1 most influential of the last 25 years or so, is possibly forced to retire. You blew it all up asking if he was dead (like a child, btw since you want to rip bois for it...we all knew he wasn't dead) and saying it was a broken leg needing surgery and he's ok. Bois post was way more on point with the reality of the situation then yours was. You responded as if you didn't even read the content of his post.

I'm not minimizing his injury like CO is, but we all figured he was done when he had several back surgeries just so he could function day to day. But the guy came back from that and won the Masters. He is probably the most committed guy there is when it comes to rehabbing himself. I won't count him out just yet, but won't be surprised if this is the end of his career either.

His last Masters win was one of the more impressive feats i've seen from someone who had fallen so far. Here's hoping in 2025 or 2026 we're saying the same thing from this.

They were comparing his Surgery to that of Alex Smith of Washington in the NFL and if you followed his injuries they contemplated Amputation so here's hoping that if he can come back and play once again in the NFL then it might look promising for Tiger to Tee it up again down the road .

just typical of Debbie she was pissed at me so wanted to start something... but i ain't biting.... but good news she swallows SIGH I'm going to have to be THAT person, aren't I? While Billy's response was a bit dismissive, this response is... pretty shitty. You probably didn't intend it but this is both casually misogynistic and transphobic. Like what's the joke? He's acting like a woman and that's.... bad? I guess? If you use the opposite pronouns it's a... funny own I guess? idk. There are much better ways to go after somebody.

I still want to know what the hell happened. What caused him to swerve and pass out? Was it a pre-existing medical condition? You'd have to think if he was under the influence that would have been talked to death about by now.
Anyway, I'm glad he's alive, sounds like he was thinking about his future before hand. Golfers can go longer than most athletes but, at some point you do have to start thinking about life after pro sports. It unfortunately probably came faster than he would have wanted.

After the Kobe accident last year where first responders took pictures at the accident sight and totally compromised privacy of victims I think LA County enacted new code of control to make sure privacy of the victim isnt compromised. So that may be why we dont know "yet". It will come out I'm sure.
