Sounds like the city will be starting a major project to transform Brunswick St, Rannie Drive, and Gottingen St between Rainnie and Brunswick.
There is a survey available for those that want to provide input or suggestions on improvements.

I assume a few people here travel that route for Mooseheads games. What improvements would you make to those streets?
I gave two answers. One would be to put a traffic signal type crosswalk in front of the town clock to cross Brunswick St. Many cars just plow through that crosswalk even with the overhead lights flashing. I've seen many pedestrians almost get hit there. Some times its the pedestrian's fault for darting out from behind cars or busses. A traffic signal type crosswalk would give drivers Red lights when the crosswalk was activated, and force (I use force lightly, some pedestrians are idiots) pedestrians to wait for a green light to cross.
The other was to widen the sidewalk going up Gottingen St / Rainnie Drive. I park in front of Citadel High quite often. After games it can be excruciating to walk up that hill in the pedestrian congestion. I usually use the bike lane, but even that gets congested. I'm sure cyclists don't want pedestrians in the bike lane. So a wider sidewalk or multi-use pathway similar to in front of Citadel high might make sense.
I couldn't include it in the survey, but I'd also make a larger pedestrian wait area to cross the street at the corner of Gottingen (formerly Rannie) and Brunswick towards the SBC. Have to wait on the street there constantly.
