Those are pretty tough times. I'm sure the broadcasters will show them again by delay the following morning.

I'm sure the broadcasters will show them again by delay the following morning. 12 hour time difference so I wouldn't expect to see any of those games in prime time....don't mind that two of the Men's games are on the weekend though. Also, pre-tourney game between Canada and the Swiss was cancelled due to a positive case....It was scheduled to play in Switzerland but still...should be fun.

Could be worse. I'm a night owl so 12am start doesnt bother me since Olympic games fly by.
That and Canada vs US womens game is the only one on that list I have any interest which helps too.

Just a reminder that Canada women play USA tonight just after midnight.
It might be every bit as combative as the men - or moreso.

Just a reminder that Canada plays USA for the Gold just after midnight tonight.
That's going to be a tough game to win.
An Olympic gold is a once in a lifetime chance for most Canadian athletes - and it would be great to see Troy Ryan win one. Troy's a really good guy who has paid his dues over the past 30 years.
GO CANADA GO!

Congratulations to the Canadian women on winning the Gold. It was the strangest thing to be up 3-1 with about 17 minutes left in the 3rd and have the power go out and not come back on until 4:15 AM - but great to see they held on and pulled out the win.

Goaltending was the difference. Desbiens was rock solid and Poulin did her superstar thing.
Now they need to find a way over the next 2-3 years to fix whatever the hell is wrong with their sport and work on getting to a point where they have 1 pro league with a national TV deal.
Its hard enough to sell womens hockey due to the caliber...they need to get on 1 page in terms of having 1 league for the best players. To still not have that after 7 Olympic cycles is killing their sport.
And as much as we love seeing the 2 teams play for every championship they need to more to grow their sport because the attraction is still Canada vs US with a limited appetite beyond that. And I can see the IOC getting to a point where other sports with more parity become higher priorities.

I think the lack of competitive balance, along with the mickey mouse nature of their attempts to start a pro league, are the two main factors that keeps me from having much interest in women's hockey. Canada-US games are usually good hockey and have been entertaining when I have watched, but either of them vs. anyone else is a waste of time, and any of the other countries playing one another is crappy hockey, even if the score is close. I have been completely apathetic to Olympic hockey this time around, men and women ... part of it is the NHL pulling out, part of it is the time zone ... I can't recall the last time I paid so little attention to an Olympics overall - I would be hard pressed to name five of the Canadian medalists from memory.

CBC/TSN/Rogers are doing a great job with coverage but the time zone makes it impossible to get overly invested in. Unfortunately for the women we see how junior hockey has a great following in certain areas of the country yet makes little impact national wide when broadcast nationally. And the CHL is a considerable jump in caliber. But no matter where you stand on the conversation there's little debate that they can't do anything until they have 1 league to promote. But even then...I admit as a long time hockey fan that i'm not watching and outside of the final game of the Worlds or Olympics I have no very little interest in the product. But they need to have 1 league and attack the grass roots level with free tickets for female hockey players and other things to create some interest and get younger people more interested.
