I’d move it if I was them also, you know the event will get played out there, you can’t say the same about it being in Nova Scotia unfortunately.

Could also be the host locations were fine with it. If hosting something like that you want some type of momentum. Volunteers and ticket sales etc all dependent on months of lead time. Momentum been stalled for a while.
They get the 2023 event which can only be better. People begin to travel normal. I'm not sure if flights are anywhere back to normal at Sydney Airport yet. It would be better if it were for all tournament visitors that would need to come.
2022 travel looks nothing like 2019 yet. It's still waking up. It's better all around this way.

They're gun shy because they know covid is still out there in large numbers and if it keeps up the chance of NS bringing in gathering limits, masking, or even lockdowns again is way higher than Alberta. People can view it as insulting but personally its nice to know we live in an area where our peoples health seems to come before other factors.

I just went to a convention over the weekend and everyone is testing positive now... I haven't tested positive yet but, like, I was in close contact with several who tested positive so... yea, Covid is definitely alive and well. Speaking of which, time to test myself again.

Working from home I admit i'm definitely safer than most but with masks coming off and less focus on distancing and any measures at all its only a matter of time until we all get it or are exposed to it. There's still a good 90% compliance with masking here in CB it seems like this week. So people are at least paying attention to the "do whats best for you" logic and following that. Which is all you can do when government backs off their regulations.

you've been exposed to it already..... unless you literally don't leave your house It's run through our hockey beer league over the last 4-6 weeks. I would guess half the players have had it (over half my team has had it). Fortunately, no one I know has had more than mild symptoms (had to be vaxxed to play).

you've been exposed to it already..... unless you literally don't leave your house You're probably right. Habits have certainly changed but its almost impossible to avoid exposure if you're doing anything at all with other people. I was also lucky in that the people in my circle who ended up with it always seemed to get it during a time where I had not been with them socially for weeks. They were also fully vaccinated with 3 shots by the time they did test positive. The fear now is with less testing and no masks there's not much anyone will be able to do to avoid exposure unless they literally become a hermit.
