I have a question on something that I haven't really seen before. Has an NHL team ever had two players of the year (in their respective CHL league) from the same draft year.
From the 2021 draft year, Dallas has Johnston (OHL Player of the year) and Stankoven (WHL Player of the year). I don't remember this happening before. Stankoven might be the steal of the draft (as a second rounder).
Throw in Bourque and the Stars prospects have done some incredible things: - Each lead their league in pts/game - very good chance that each will lead their league in playoff points

Antonio Stranges is also an exciting player to watch, seems to always show up on the highlight reels. He's one of those boom or bust guys likely depending how his game translates.

Looks like a future top 6 guy and very good playmaker.

Stranges is exciting to watch in Junior, but I am not sure how well his game will translate to the NHL. He leaves himself pretty open with his skating style and could get rocked coming across the blueline. He is in a tier 2 of prospects for Dallas (With Roulette from Seattle). A step behind the tier 1 guys: Johnston, Stank, Bourque and Grushnikov. Dallas 2017 draft was great (Heiskanen, Oettinger, Robertson), 2021 might be even better. They just need a coach to develop them.

Now I bet some won’t play because they’ll be preparing for the NHL or to go pro but give the kids who earned it the first time a chance to complete it, provided they still want to play.
