I think the Franco thing is blown out of proportion. Still not good but I don't think he just broke up with a 14 year old. I believe it's more when he was 17 then turned 18 which is still not good but not as bad as a 22 year old. Wait and see I suppose. Apparently there's now multiple women(can I even call them that?) involved now so probably worse than I anticipated. Still reserving judgment until official information comes out but rumor has it that he'll never play again.

I think he is done for this season unless it was all a hoax and investigators/MLB quickly figure it out. In terms of next year and beyond, wayyy too early to tell. What we are hearing can be fact or can be somebody trying to extort money. Facts will have to come out.

He was in a relationship with a 13 year old and then came to NA and told her to wait til she turns 18 for them to get back together? How much more do we need to know? No room for a pedophile in my locker room The facts have to be established. I'm not saying he did or didn't do it, I just recall the Ian Cole situation that sounded really bad and ended up being a hoax. The fact that the team suspended him is not a good sign, but again it's just to diffuse the situation temporarily.

Shohei Ohtani has been diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow. Ohtani will not pitch again this season and will seek a second opinion before a determination is made whether he’ll require surgery. The Angels are unsure whether he’ll be able to continue hitting for the remainder of the regular season or need to undergo surgery immediately. The fantasy ramifications heading into next season are massive as the 29-year-old two-way superstar is set to hit free agency at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign and remains likely to land the largest contract in baseball history. It’s the second time he’s suffered the injury in his career as he underwent Tommy John surgery back in 2018 for the same injury.
This sucks for him, MLB and the Angels. I still say they should have traded him at the TDL, they had less than 10% chance of making the playoffs and they were unlikely to give him 500+M in the off season.

The Cleveland Guardians have designated RHP Noah Syndergaard for assignment. One of only a few guys who was not the same after TJ surgery, his velocity was down 6-7 MPH.

Before they sell 1 ticket or 1 piece of Dodger swag to little Ohtani's in Tokyo the Dodgers make $334 mil per year off their local TV deal. That billion is being paid over 20 years when over $7 billion comes in just from local TV money.

Basketball is even crazier when it come to TV Contracts fueling Revenues . Milwaukee which is considered to be a Small Market Franchise signed Giannis Antetukumpo to a 3 year - 186 Million Extension ....62 AAV . Super Max Contracts are currently 5 years - 310 Million if you sign with your current Team and they expect it to go up another 20-25 % the next Collective Agreement .

The MLB allows them to make that Ohtani deal and now they can sign the Japanese pitcher. Why aren't the other MLB teams, especially the small market teams, speaking up about this. I don't want to sound like a child, but it doesn't seem too fair.
