Still 3 teams yet to lose in the post-season - Seattle, Quebec, & Sherbrooke.
This week Winnipeg moved up based on the quality of their wins in the 3rd round. The ICE are on a 5 game winning streak since being 1-2 behind Moose Jaw they have been better and the last 3 games (clincher in MJ and 2 home wins over Saskatoon just dominant).
Seattle made short work of two easier opponents and handily took Kamloops in game one needing OT in game two to take a 2 game lead heading to Kamloops for games 3 and 4.
Some closer games in the Q in their conference finals than what we saw in the first 2 rounds. Both those series needed OT in their 2nd games of round 3.
The top teams are winning. Now with Ottawa eliminated North Bay has asserted itself as team to beat in the OHL by rankings. We will see what toll that tough series with Barrie has taken out of them as they look to stop Peterborough. Ottawa is the highest ranked team to already book their tee times. There have not been many upsets this year in the CHL playoffs and things have pretty much gone to script with only the Kitchener upset of Windsor in round 1 being the only other upset.
