Looking forward to hearing the “Patrick” and “pull your goalie“ chants

5-3 Halifax, and just because Doucet with the winner. I'm not sure I expected Halifax to go on this long a run this year. (Going to make a very short off-season for the kids), We you play till almost June you essentially have 2 months and a few weeks before training camp starts again.
Interested to see if we get 2 sell outs with the Games being at 8PM during the week!

Some lower bowl tickets are freeing up now if anyone is interested.
Should be a good game tonight. Halifax has to stay more disciplined, and they need to keep their speed and intensity up to match Quebec. Neither Rousseau has dominated, so the Rousseau that can return to their form from last round will give their team a huge advantage.

Everybody was on the ice for Quebec yesterday. It seems like Truchon could come back tonight. Game time decision.

Lalancette says Dumais left the ice after a few minutes this morning. That's too bad. I thought it was concussion related, but it sounds like it's his shoulder. It's a tough balance. Do you play through the pain and risk an injury that could side line you for 6 months? I'm sure Columbus has been in contact and are watching this closely. It was an optional skate, so hopefully Jordan is in game shape and just chose to shut it down early.

Gatineau's Noah Warren could have played and have his shoulder surgery after the playoffs, but Anaheim decided he would have it in March so he could be ready for the camp next season. Their priority wasn't the Olympiques' playoffs run.

Their priority wasn't the Olympiques' playoffs run. Probably in consultation with the agent and the client. And ultimately the player is going to most likely follow advice of the specialists. Its in his benefit to be ready for NHL camp in September (and that means ability to strength train sooner than that). No 18-19 year old player is going to buck that advice. It makes sense for the junior team to be OK with it as they don't want a bad name with the pro ranks or they may not be getting chance to keep players as they groom for pro. No sense in getting a reputation as hard to work with. I know the NHL teams have no real say with the European leagues on these issues. Their main influence is with agent/player. Noah made the right decision. Sucks for Gatineau but that decision was the best for his career and his health.

Leaving the ice after a few minutes during an optional skate could really mean anything. We won’t know till tonight. I hope he is back but only if he feels 100%. I don’t think he should put his summer/training camp on the line for this.
And apart from that, we still have a great team!

I had a good look from my seat as well and the first thing I thought was his shoulder as he went off the ice leaning to his right typical of a shoulder injury as I had the same injury myself back in the day. I think he could play but he would be in pain and one good hit might take him out . Maybe dress him for the power play or late in the game if they are down a goal and need an extra man if they take the goalie out . I am sure the Blue Jackets have a say in the matter as well ! My prediction is he doesn’t play unless it goes to 7 games I hope I am wrong !
