Eagles Franchise vs The Rest of the Maritime Teams

This Post was actually inspired by the Run the Mooseheads have made this year but yet some of their fans are still whining . I thought it would be interesting to compare the Other 5 Maritime Franchises All Time Records to ours here in Cape Breton . When you look at them , you can come up with one clear fact ........."We have been the worst run of all the Maritime Franchises " . Halifax , Saint John and Bathurst have all won ......The Memorial Cup.....Moncton have won the Q Twice ......Charlottetown have been in the Q Finals twice . They all have had "AT LEAST" 3 runs to the 3rd Round , some 4 and 5 .


We have had two runs to the 3rd Round and the last one was in 2007 ....16 years ago ......Who , What , Where , When and Why have we been so bad for so long ? Now before we start with the What ifs about 2020 , we don't know what that Team would have done . In 2004 we were the Top Team in the Country and lost our 1st Series to Chicoutimi .

Congratulations to Langois , Savoie and Cooper .....The Ex Eagles on their Q League Championship and hopefully a Memorial Cup Championship . Does this Q Title sweeten the deal for Langois ? Does it get even sweeter if they win the Big Prize ? Any Guesses on Who will be coming here ? I wonder if Syl has a list to choose from ? I guess after the Memorial Cup is over we will hear some names being bantered about .
