If people are going by their experience Wednesday night, it may have been because there was a sellout and they may not have enough ushers on staff or standby to take care of a sellout in the same way they take care of a typical game with 7000 fans. They also had close to a sellout the night before and a Megadeth concert the night before that. I don't know how their staff is employed. There could be weeks with 3 sold out events or weeks with no events at all. Are they on standby? Could be lots of reasons a business is short-staffed.

For anybody that thinks this forum is too negative at times... stay far far away from the r/halifax subreddit lol. You'd think Halifax was the most miserable place on planet earth engaging with those folks.

This has been the case for regular season games and all the playoff games this season. I don’t recall this happening for any games…ever in years past. I think it is worth someone that can, figure out exactly what is going on here.

They don't retain enough staff because no one wants to babysit drunk fans for $15 an hour.

They only seem to show the message about "not moving during play" at like 6:05pm (for 7pm) game, and then never see it again.
The "Fan Club" facebook page is also horrible for negativity.

They are indeed the same thing. They definitely tried to save money during the pandemic by cutting back, which was obviously not uncommon. But, ushers aren't paid very well and only make about $60 per game. I could also see that being a hard position to retain individuals for.
