You guys are hilarious. One game in the books and we are folding on the team π Worse then leaf fans I'd be hard pressed to find one positive about that game outside of Ruccia. The forwards looked as if they'd never been on the ice with one another, they weren't particularly physical, didn't really appear to be grinding it out in the corners, just kind of going through the motions and smothered by the wildcats defensive structure. Perhaps you saw some though, feel free to share them if you'd like.

You want to give them a pass , go ahead . I agree it is only one game but did you seen any passion given the circumstances surrounding the game ?

You guys are hilarious. One game in the books and we are folding on the team π Worse then leaf fans No, the problem is like every other year that Simon is going to bitch and complain to the local media that they can't draw a crowd. Home opener was a prime opportunity with lots of casual fans in attendance hoping to see something worth cheering for the next 2-3+ seasons, instead they got outshot 36-16 and put out one of their top 10 most embarrassing efforts in recent memory. A first impression is a lasting one.

Well said but Falcon just wants everyone to think that it was just an Off Night .......even though a lot of people who were there last night would have left happy if it they had spent $20 to at least watch a Team who showed them they wanted that game if not for themselves but for Young Newcombe and his Family .

No one is folding on the team just yet but what alot of people saw last night wasn't very inspiring for a team that claims the rebuild is over and that it's now time to take the next step and start winning games.
Now no one was expecting them to go 68 and 0 but for what may be many people's only game of the season the showing the team gave them last night certainly isn't going to convince them to take in more games the rest of the way, as others have pointed out aside from Ruccia there wasn't very many if any positives to take from that game.
They were practically pinned in their defensive zone all night and the rare time they had offensive puck possession Moncton kept them to the outside all night and if a puck somehow got into the slot the Eagles were smothered and tied up before they could do any damage.
Now is one game going to ruin their season I would certainly hope not but it dang sure didn't make me feel hopeful of the teams potential offensive capabilities for this season.

You guys are hilarious. One game in the books and we are folding on the team π Worse then leaf fans Leaf fans sold out their arena for 5 decades without winning anything. May be the most loyal fan base in hockey. Terrible comparison. Eagle fans are just here begging for something to show them things are different. An inspiring big effort against a key division rival to open up what is a big season and the team completely no showed. Its certainly not a good thing that the team had an extra 1000 or so people out for opening night and they all left with the same feeling...different year....same franchise. Rather than comment on that fact you're choosing to crap on those who paid $20+ to watch paint dry and are calling it out.

Every game against Halifax and Moncton this season should be a game this team is up for and ready to go from puck drop. Fans should expect that at minimum from this group. Those are the teams we need to prove we're on the same level of. It didn't feel like that last night.

The guys had some buzz in the first 10 minutes of the period and then it all went downhill. Our defensive structure is terrible. Every pass out of our zone goes to their guys.

Incredible how Moncton is supposedly on the same rebuild schedule as us and absolutely whipped us back to back.
Completely unacceptable to go out there and put up an effort like that, zero emotion behind the bench, on the bench and on the ice. The attendance tonight really reflected the effort the team has put on the ice this weekend.

You guys are hilarious. One game in the books and we are folding on the team π Worse then leaf fans When management spends all their time in the public eye saying they're doing it differently this time, while doing the exact same thing that previous leadership groups did, it's understandable that people are quick to say "Oh here we go again." To me it's a bit funny, because imo the management group is trying to take a shortcut to success (Dreaming of a Memorial Cup bid) while their players go out on the ice and take shortcuts all game, leading to losses.

- I give the Head Coach credit for doing an On Camera Interview .
- Moncton are so much faster then us ..............hungrier too .
- I really hope Schmitt and Burbidge end up justifying the Kings Ransom we paid for them .
- Can't wait to hear what The Falcon has to say .

Moncton in another league as us , eagles looked like a JR A team next to Moncton. Robitaille nailed it post game when he said no pride , last 2 games was absolutely embarrassing but I too give Robitaille credit for coming on post game . I wonder whatβs Couturier and Hanna doing now ? Hiding lol , they are the ones that built the team , only early , but these 2 games are not a good start , no pride , no character and absolutely zero work ethic
