I think Score is referring to alot of people under the impression that PEI got lucky to take 2 games from Halifax. They are by no means a punching bag for any team I agree. And let's not forget - they still have Jim Hulton behind that bench.

Cataford being back would be huge for up front. Vidicek out sucks, but we just got better with the addition of Cataford. Wondering what his conditioning will be like being out for a bit. Because we will need him out every second shift!!! Stress has to be off Milner too, having Rousseau back in town.

Hulton has quietly added some very skilled young players and added some experience for this team season. They will be a mid pack team.....but not as bad as some may think. Owen Conrad. 16yrs old. Anthony Flanagan. 16yrs old. Marcus Kearsey. 17yrs old. Matthew Butler. 17yrs old. Alexis Michaud. 17yrs old. Slovakian, Ondrej Maruna. 17yrs old. Ross Campbell. 17yrs old Lucas Romeo. 18yrs old. Kyle Powers. 18yrs old. Brett Arsenault. 18yrs old. Latvian, Aksels Ozols. 18yr old netminder. That's a solid foundation for this team going forward. 17yr old Slovakian, Ondrej Maruna, is going to be a very affective player in this league for the next couple seasons. With the size and skill of Horth and Huckins up front playing thr wings with Morneau in the middle, it will be a very solid line. This is a great post for a Halifax versus Moncton thread! Thanks I appreciate that!

They are by no means a punching bag for any team I agree. Nobody said they were lucky. Halifax was bad those games. If Halifax beat them they’d be the lucky ones. Halifax sent a roster that everyone combined just had career more goals than Vidicek had alone last season. Vidicek last year had 32 goals the rest of the roster combined had 35 goals. If you were told that before the 2 game do you think Halifax would win? To add to it Horth and Huckins combined last year 56 goals alone.

I'll be optimistic. With many regular forwards out it gives a lot of youth some ice time to develop where they may not have gotten that opportunity on a good team. Honestly at this current point in time wins and losses may matter to the teams' confidence, but they don't matter in the standings all that much. If Halifax go for it in the 2nd half they'll get their share of wins. If they can't beat teams like Moncton and Baie-Comeau in the playoffs even without home ice advantage, they weren't beating Rouyn-Noranda anyway. We might as well stay patient and enjoy the on-ice product we currently have while we wait for forward help to arrive. It's not like losses mean the Moose are under-achieving with this current roster. 2 points in September is worth the same as 2 points in March. Halifax will probably end up with their fair share of wins but when you’re potentially fighting for home-ice in a playoff series, it very well could come down to points that were given away in September. I usually agree. And 100% for the team and their mindset, points are just as important now as they are in March. But in my own head, I don't put a lot of emphasis on wins and losses right now given the state of the team. Had the team been intact and they lost like they did against the Islanders, that would be different.

Real talk who actually thinks Halifax will win this game? I’ll start with a big fat NO.

Yeah, Halifax has absolutely no chance tomorrow, they may as well not bother showing up and just give the two points away.

Halifax will surprise you. I got faith. I'm taking Halifax 3-1 with an empty netter.

I know you’re trying to be sarcastic but your last statement is basically what’s going to happen. They obviously are going to go but it is just giving 2 points away. If Vidicek wasn’t suspended maybe they’d have a chance with Him and Cataford together. I do think Cataford if healthy can create scoring easier than Vidicek can alone. Since there’s proof he’s back, but not sure about the healthy part I think they get multiple goals this game instead of just one. I’m sticking with my 5-2 Moncton pick.

With 4 guys back fresh from nhl camps they will be ready and hungry to go , Rousseau between the pipes makes a huge difference for the moose , with kilfoil playing well , Peitzsche having a fantastic pre season and presumably healed up from injury and Crosby looking like he’s ready to step up , and not to mention the best d core in the league , with everyone back minus vidicek I see Halifax having some swagger back after a disappointing opening weekend , 4-2 Halifax win .

All good news, but did I miss something…Everyone back but Vidicek? Do you know something that we do not know about our top forward? I hope not…. There is a player that I believe we will miss a lot this weekend.

Rousseau is starting and Catford on the second line with Levesque and Crosby. Kilfoil first line with Peiztsche and Fournier on the left and right - happy for him, I think he has potential.
Here is the rest:
Peitzsche | Kilfoil | Fournier Levesque | Cataford | Crosby Ponzetto | MacPhee | Todd Fontaine | Moser
Moravec | Furlong Schultz | Phillips Martin | MacKinnon MacKenzie
