I knew Lou was getting one soon, love his energy, Cataford looks really good, Kilfoil is looking real solid as well. And our D-Core showed up in that period, them and Rousseau in the back really helps.
Brody Fournier needs to do something though or he’ll be gone after Christmas.

Halifax will surprise you. I got faith. I'm taking Halifax 3-1 with an empty netter. Hope you bet money on this somewhere…

Who is eating crow saying we were losing tonight? Great performance by the Mooseheads but looks like the tired out in the 3rd. Cataford was really good. Levesque looks like he is for real. Crosby doing better but I think he is a liability defensively. Huge win.

Yeah, Halifax has absolutely no chance tomorrow, they may as well not bother showing up and just give the two points away. I know you’re trying to be sarcastic but your last statement is basically what’s going to happen. They obviously are going to go but it is just giving 2 points away. If Vidicek wasn’t suspended maybe they’d have a chance with Him and Cataford together. I do think Cataford if healthy can create scoring easier than Vidicek can alone. Since there’s proof he’s back, but not sure about the healthy part I think they get multiple goals this game instead of just one. I’m sticking with my 5-2 Moncton pick. Any comment on this? I guess it was just luck. For sure loosing tomorrow. I don’t think we should even make our way to Bathurst /s To be fair tho, I understand where you’re coming from but I like to be more optimistic than pessimistic. A big part of any sport is the mindest as well…

Really good solid game from the Moose, there were a couple cracks in the wall as the game went on but in general great game led from the backend and Rousseau was great when Moncton got through. Nice to see the Moravec Furlong pair back together.
And the forwards were not exactly inept. They had moments within the game pushing Moncton on their heels and bringing waves and chances. Levesque had his stamp all over the game, could have easily had 2 or 3 and started his own goal with a good back check and got the puck going the other way.
Cataford was also a lot to handle and was certainly a big part of the pressure the Moose put on Moncton. And nothing too flashy but a positive game, again, from Crosby as well. Not what I would call a dominating aspect to his game by any means but maybe no longer a glaring weakness… there’s so much more strength in his game this year… on his feet, on the boards, around the net, protecting the puck, he’s much more effective.

2 points in September is worth the same as 2 points in March. Halifax will probably end up with their fair share of wins but when you’re potentially fighting for home-ice in a playoff series, it very well could come down to points that were given away in September. I usually agree. And 100% for the team and their mindset, points are just as important now as they are in March. But in my own head, I don't put a lot of emphasis on wins and losses right now given the state of the team. Had the team been intact and they lost like they did against the Islanders, that would be different. I just want to take this moment to re-emphasize that wins are critical this time of year and it would be stupid to suggest otherwise. After Cape Breton, Victoriaville and Blainville this week, I'll reassess.

I'll be optimistic. With many regular forwards out it gives a lot of youth some ice time to develop where they may not have gotten that opportunity on a good team. Honestly at this current point in time wins and losses may matter to the teams' confidence, but they don't matter in the standings all that much. If Halifax go for it in the 2nd half they'll get their share of wins. If they can't beat teams like Moncton and Baie-Comeau in the playoffs even without home ice advantage, they weren't beating Rouyn-Noranda anyway. We might as well stay patient and enjoy the on-ice product we currently have while we wait for forward help to arrive. It's not like losses mean the Moose are under-achieving with this current roster. 2 points in September is worth the same as 2 points in March. Halifax will probably end up with their fair share of wins but when you’re potentially fighting for home-ice in a playoff series, it very well could come down to points that were given away in September. Exactly. I 100% agree. These points gained by teams, like Charlottetown, may be huge down the stretch
