Perhaps the toughest road trip of the year physically. We wrapped up a road trip on the 15th in Val d'Or. Played 3 games in 4 days home last week. And now we're starting a 3 in 3 with a 4pm local start on the 3rd day.
Tough physically. Tough mentally. And 3 important games all against teams right around us in the standings. Coming home with 3-4 points should be the goal.
Do we start to see the PP come to life? 11% is bad. Most teams are in that 20-25% mark...you'd think the law of averages sees that start to tilt a bit our way since we should have enough talent and experience to not have the leagues worst PP.
I'm expecting a big weekend from Ruccia assuming he gets 2 of these games.
I'm sure Lavoie seen his "B" rating for the upcoming NHL draft. I think we all agree he has a whole other level he can still hit in terms of dominance. Does some added motivation get him going a bit more? There hasn't exactly been much progress shown from last year. Maybe an added spark is what he needs.

First Piece of the Road Puzzle in place with a 4-2 Win over Drummondville . On to Sherbrooke . The funny thing about these 3 Teams on this trip to Quebec is that all 3 teams are right around the 500 mark .

Here's hoping Lavoie uses that shot some more. Has the potential to start creating some real offense from the point if he starts letting them rip like he did last night.
Also, Ruccia has been something of a pariah in the last few seasons but I need to give credit where credit is due. He is finally putting together a season worthy of a true #1 in the Q statisticly. 90.6 save% with a GAA under 3 is a big accomplishment for him so far as his career stats have been quite inflated from playing on some really bad teams in his career. Milota still has a way to go yet, but there has been flashes of greatness there. Pretty common stuff for a 17yo playing his first season in NA.

I guess the Goal Scorers didn't show up in a 2-0 Loss . I didn't watch or listen to it with the World Series on but I am guessing Milota had a Good Outing only giving up a Single Goal . Anybody out there watch it ?

Deserved a better fate - penalty trouble and PP once again was more of a buzz kill then a positive but I think I counted 5 posts in the third alone. Just couldn’t bury one

Basically what Falconz said, Also personally I thought the ice last night in Sherbrooke was pretty bad as the puck stuck to the ice several times during the course of the game for both teams and when it wasn't sticking to the ice it was bouncing around like a pinball lol.

Just couldn’t bury one Milota deserved a better outcome for sure. Held the team in the game all the way through just couldn't get any run support. Agree with the posts, hopefully when Sherbrooke comes to our rink we can get some vindication.

Well if I'm going to be critical of Ruccia's play thus far through his Q career I'd better be able to eat crow and compliment him when he decides to shut my mouth with said play, he just had his best month in an Eagles jersey finishing the month of October with a 2.18 GAA and 0.926 SV%.
His GAA and SV% season wise now sits at 2.68 GAA and 0.912 SV% heading into November, if he can keep that kind of consistency going forward we'll be able to at least scratch goaltending off the list of concerns for this seasons team.

Ruccia was the 1st star of the game as they return home with 4 points .

This team has had some crazy Jekyll and Hyde tendencies this season. We go on the road and fall a couple hit posts short of a 6 points in 3 day span. However once we get back to C200 the performance seems to fall off a cliff.
I wonder how ownership and management will try to gaslight the fans into thinking this is our fault.

Ruccia played well. Lavoie had a spark lit on Thursday. A really good weekend as a whole.
Now we need to carry it over to home ice.
