The Mooseheads are on the road this weekend in Charlottetown and Bathurst, the Moose lost in somewhat dramatic fashion against Moncton on Wednesday and will hope to reclaim the maritimes division lead this weekend.
Brady Schultz sits out for 1 game for a checking to the head on Caleb Desnoyers.
As of the time of this post there has been no word on if Mathis Rousseau has returned or not, and if Sam Madgett is on the trip as the backup. However Liam Welsh has been recalled by Halifax. To help the forward relief, this will probably mean that Antoine Fontaine remains out, and maybe someone else too, we shall see.
We’ll have to see if there’s any line adjustments tonight, me personally I kind of want to see Kilfoil get tested alongside Vidicek and Dumais.

Its hard to understand Q first Crosby gets takin out with a separated shoulder on a blatant hit from behind with no suspension to guy who hit him and Shultz gets a suspension on a hit to the head of Desnoyers that I didnt even see at the game the other night.WTF

Did I miss something? When was that hit? He didn't even get a penalty on the play? Edit: Rousseau is starting. Rest of the lines: Cataford | Vidicek | Dumais Levesque | Kilfoil | Fournier Ponzetto | MacPhee | Peitzsche Welsh | Todd Furlong | Phillips Martin | MacKinnon Moravec | MacKenzie Moser, Fontaine and Crosby are sick/injured and Schultz has the one game suspension.

Q law - Mooseheads player injured by illegal hit, no suspension.
As for Schultz on Desnoyers- I feel the kid put himself in a bad spot but at the same time it’s a hit that needs to be taken out of the game especially with the ban on fighting.

Just a guess here, but I am assuming especially where there was no penalty on the play by Schultz that Moncton post game asked league for a review on the hit. And Halifax did not ask for a review on the Crosby hit. Probably because they got burned last year twice, asking for a review and ended up with $1000 fine for each review.

Levesque still putting up points and having great opportunities. He is so fast. He many be faster than Brandon Reid if any of u remember him.

Good start so far.
Nothing to do with this game specifically, but MacPhee really needs to start producing. He's 19 now and has has been unspectacular if not invisible so far this year.

He impresses me so much with his body positioning along the boards. For one of the smallest guys on the ice, he comes away with the puck cleanly more often than he should.

Eastlink announcers noting how the air went out of the Charlottetown crowd with goals 19 seconds apart, yeah but not as noticeable as their demeanour in the broadcast booth!!!
The color commentator who does Eastlink games in Charlottetown might as well be waving Islander pompoms down between the benches!!

Take the win, 6 goals is nice, but they were outworked for large stretches of the game. Typical Hulton coached team. Never stop. Halifax could use more of that in their game. Don't always have to be the lunch pail gang, but they could use more jam in their game.
There's no way around it, Moose are a one line team right now. 2nd line was ok, but they're getting absolutely NOTHING from the bottom 6. Chip pucks out and go for a line change is about it.
The luxury of a top line that good lol. Those 3 n Rousseau won the game. Dumais makes it look so easy. His 2nd goal, my god.

If Rousseau and that top line stay healthy, not much stopping halifax from taking the league. The goals were really nice.
Fun team to watch even when they are beating the team I'm cheering for

I don’t know what to say, lol…outshoted, outworked, but we have those 3-4 studs players that make a difference including Rousseau. Dumais WTF, you don’t see him too much for half the game and then wow…i don’t want us to sell, but at the same time we need a lot…i am confused….great little team to watch, for sure, but when the bottom 6 are on the ice, tough

This feels a lot like Lavoie | Groulx | Trepanier right now. Exactly, so confused of what i am hoping for at this point. But I am enjoying watching it right now.

Dumais looks like he is barely visible out there at times and he ends up with 4 points.
