Moncton Tonight and Charlottetown tomorrow . Ideally the Eagles should be shooting for 4 points , will they get em ? I wouldn't bet on it but you can't be happy with a Split . Each Goalie should get a Start and they have both been playing pretty good lately .

This team in its current configuration just does not work.

Another 1 goal effort at C200, I'd hate to be a season ticket holder right now.

Lack of offense yet again, I hope the Eagles brass reads these boards , we need more offense and i sound like a broken record but another 20 yr old forward would be nice. If we don’t get more offense you may as well right off the year cause falling way behind Halifax and Moncton now .

If we don’t get more offense you may as well right off the year cause falling way behind Halifax and Moncton now . I really can't see one single forward fixing this anymore. We're constantly getting exposed against solid Puck possession teams and show no signs of change or adjustment during the game. Tonight was a great example, Moncton is a strong team that isn't afraid to play the body and control Puck movement. On the other hand, the Eagles can't even cycle the Puck around in the offensive zone, anytime they try and get the Puck over the redline it's 99% a weak chip and chase, usually get beat to the Puck by a defender and rinse, wash, repeat.

Gotta find some scoring Somewhere . I can only imagine the prices to get a Sniper at Christmas Time . We are a Piss Poor Passing Team also . Ruccia can hold his Head up High , he did his job .

So every time I decide to miss a home game the team decides to play up to expectation. Sigh. Maybe if I stop attending altogether they will go unbeaten at home!

A good win against a team they are a few steps over in the cycle. This is what we need to see.
It is too bad they are struggling a bit this year on offence, but guys mentioned even back in the summer that they are a little light on offence. This might be the most underwhelming offensive team since those early years where we had about 4 fights a night.
Regardless, a good solid home win where the offence came out, with some solid defence and Ruccia's third shutout so far into the season.

Amazing how this team can't shake .500.
At this point the plan should seem obvious...get younger and get more picks in the lineup and see what we have in them.
Guys like Roy and Begin shouldnt be playing on a .500 Q team in 11th place out of 18 teams over younger players with higher upside who can help here over the next 2 years.
The playoff picture is clear on this side. 3 teams creating some distance. 3-4 teams in the middle. 3 teams at the bottom.
Will be interesting to watch those middle teams to see what they do and how that sets them up for future seasons.

I don't follow things that closely with the Eagles, but I never did understand why they don't value their younger talent more. The more you trade, the more you need to validate those trades and the young guys get pushed down the line up. It's puzzling to see a guy like Begin (6pts as a 19) playing in the top 2 lines for the Eagles, there is no chance he is in the league as a 20 and I can't think of another team in the Q where he would be given such an opportunity. Validating the trade, it's a terrible way to run a bench and build a hockey team.

But a Begin maybe won't even be in the league. How much more is he really helping right now?

I would agree give them time to develop or move them to a team that will. I see Waugh get his first goal. Where does he fit in the teams plans?

I am not in agreement with our GM's Plan ........"if" ......it's what I think it is that he is gonna do . He is gonna shake things up at Christmas is my best guess and get even Older . I never liked that Begin deal anyway . It seemed to me that Patterson and Shields did seem to get more Ice Time then usual on the Weekend . Shields pace of play did seem to pick up . I personally hope that going to the Rink in 2024 is more enjoyable then it has been in 2023.......for 20 plus years it was entertaining and very enjoyable going to C200 ..........now not so much .
