On to Rouyn for the final game of the road trip - and likely the toughest to try to win. You never seem to know with the Mooseheads lately - often playing their worst against the lower teams in the standings. Hopefully, they come out with their best game of the trip and get back into the groove with Rousseau back in goal. I can understand the grumbling - but I don't want to add to it. The team has been playing their guts out. Everything isn't going to go right all of the time. Sixteen other league teams would gladly change places with the Mooseheads - standings - roster - excitement - attendance - the biggest following on the forums - and the best group of top players in the league - IMO. I don't think even Baie-Comeau can touch that. . . A win in this game could really help turn around the backsliding. I'm really enjoying the season - the team - the game days. You can't win every game - but the losses do sting sometimes. Better days ahead. Be careful. The majority here doesn’t like people believing in the team as well as positive posts!!

This has been a brutal trip, which is exactly why here is where we win. For some god forsaken reason we are usually at our best when we are playing competition that is considered more difficult than normal. Especially after our last stretch I think it would be extremely in character of us to pull out a nice win here.
3-2 moose, but a very close game.

The Foreurs on on a 2-game winning streak after defeating the Tigre 4-2 this afternoon.
William Blackburn played his first game of the season. That'll be an interesting situation to watch - Blackburn is a high quality goaltender that could be attractive to somebody out there.

On the bright side at least they won’t be blowing a lead in this game!

Man oh man that could of been 5-0 The Moose are completely out of sorts can’t make a breakout unable to get any shots or time in the opposing end I don’t like being negative but this not same team at all that were 10 and 0 and #1 in the CHL .

Yeah I wonder what happened. It can’t just be Levesque and Crosby missing? I know the team has it but I just don’t know why they can’t find that “it”.

Yea this is getting a bit hard to watch.
Just like I don't like overreacting to the highs I don't want to overreact to the lows, but this is now like 5 losses in 6 games, 3 to teams they absolutely shouldn't be losing to and 2 where they've just been terrible buzzer to buzzer.
They still have time to turn this one around, but this is nearly a 10% of the season stretch

Can’t really say I’m too mad. The first period was horrendous. The second was ok and the third seemed to have the team get back to it. Let’s forget about this road trip and start winning on Thursday!

I wish I had your positive mentality. Hopefully a few fresh practices back home after a 5 game road trip gets the boys back on track. If this is how we play before world juniors camp opens up we’re in trouble, we need some additions. Is Crosby ever coming back I thought he was day to day.

Yes, it was a better game, the commentator kept bitching about how disappointing our team was and they expected way more, lol (they are right, but I expect them to be just a little bit more neutral, haha)....but even if they dominated, I do not think that their team is a powerhouse at all and with some key addition on our side, I am very positive that we can beat them in a playoff Final or Semis.

Tough trip, hopefully being back at home and a week of practice they can right the ship. Don't forget were still down Lou and Crosby hopefully their back soon; we for sure need the Secondary scoring to pick up! 1 out of a possible 6 points or 3 if you count the Moncton game.

Don't put too much stock into games in December.
They will also lose Dumais for the WJC. It might not be pretty and righting the ship consistently will be a challenge.

Don't put too much stock into games in December. They will also lose Dumais for the WJC. It might not be pretty and righting the ship consistently will be a challenge. There's lots going on that would cause distractions. Four guys leaving for World Junior tryouts, which they've probably known about for a while. They probably know the team will look a lot different in a month, and that probably takes some killer instinct out of the team as a whole. "The season really starts January 6th" mentality could be sinking in. Having two top 6 forwards out when the team isn't deep to begin with doesn't help either. Halifax is better than they've been playing the last couple weeks. They also may have over-achieved a bit before that. As always, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Depth leads to more consistency. Not having depth leads to more highs and lows. The Moose have experienced both sides of that now, and the next month will be a test to their resolve. Jim Midgley has professional coaching experience. This is his time to teach this team how to think like professional hockey players. He should be able to help this team avoid distractions and focus on the next shift. If the team can learn from this stretch, they'll be more prepared for the playoffs.
