A Maritime Trip to Saint John , Bathurst and Charlottetown didn't get off to a very good start against the Sea Dogs . These were all winnable games and 6 points wouldn't have been a shocker but , no they seem to want to hover around 500 and drive us Crazy ..............until The New Eagles 2024 gets on the ice and all will be right in the World of Eagles Hockey .

SJ started slow but might be the better team overall right now

Was not happy with that effort in the third - on our heals and playing to lose. This team needs help 😂

Right now the eagles are 9 points behind Moncton and 13 points behind Halifax , but the biggest thing is the teams behind us , Bathurst is only 3 points behind us I belief , Saint John could be only 2 points back if they win today and Charlottetown is 5 points back of eagles , eagles should be well ahead of those teams but instead are neck to neck with them .

I think this Eagles team, as constructed is exactly where it belongs in the standings, and buying to try and win from their current position is blunder. I'm sure Sly will do it to try and save his job, but it is the worst possible move they could make in my opinion.
Anyway, just another disappointing year which will be compounded by bad decision making to mortgage the future for a half baked "run" at winning next year.

I was at the game and watching a lot of the Eagles guys closely, but majority just seem almost unmotivated out there. The second period they came out flying and the Titan let up but then the 3rd the Titan dominated again like the first.
Aside from Burbidge and Squires everyone else was just spinning their tires. I wish there was a suggestion I could make that could improve the team but I'm not sure what it is.

Watching the Bathurst Game right now and Bathurst are a step at this point early in the 1st . Real tiny Crowd in the KC Irving Centre today . Attendance listed as 1310 pretty average crowd for us today unfortunately. I expected a bit more for the Teddy bear toss but nope....hard to get this crowd to show unless the Titan team is having a winning record.

The lack of development on offence is astounding.
Biggar had 1+17 in 33 games (.55ppg) last year here after coming over from a similar split in Boisbriand (1+14 in 33GP (.45ppg)). 3+3 in 26 games (.23 ppg) this year.
Squires 30+34 in 67 games (.96 ppg) at 17. 13+12 in 27 games (.93ppg) at 18.
Daigle 4+16 in 68 games (.29 ppg) as a rookie at 17. 2+8 in 29 games (.34) so far.
Houde 18+26 in 68 games (.65ppg) as a rookie at 18. 6+10 in 29 games at 19 (.55ppg).
Patterson 10+12 in 54 games (.41 ppg) as a rookie at 17. 2+4 in 29 games (.21 ppg) at 18
Shields 12+13 in 64 games (.39) at 16. 2+4 in 28 games (.21 ppg) at 17.
Fullerton 9+5 in 64 games (.22ppg) at 17. 3+3 in 29 games (.21 ppg) at 18.
Shortall 2+17 in 66 games (.29 ppg) at 19. 1+1 in 29 games (.07) at 20.
Lavoie 2+14 in 59 games (.27 ppg) at 16. 2+10 in 29 games (.41 ppg) at 17.
Schmitt in Boisbriand at 18: 3+9 in 33 games (.36 ppg). In CB at 18 1+19 in 36 games (.56) . In CB at 19 2+12 in 29 games (.48 ppg).
Burbidge in SJ @ 17: 19+31 in 68 games (.74 ppg). @ 18 in CB: 7+16 in 29 ganes (.79 ppg).
MacDonald @ 19 in SJ 16+13 in 27 games (1.1 ppg). In Gatineau: 13+14 in 31 games (.87ppg) . In CB @ 20 9+10 in 27 games (.70)
Begin in Chi @ 18 had 7+21 in 56 games (.5 ppg). Here at 19 3+4 in 28 games (.25 ppg)
Not enough guys with increases. Too many with massive drop offs. 4 guys playing regularly with close to half the production from last season (Patterson, Shields, Begin, Shortall). Overagers all disappointments simply looking at the huge drop offs to this point.

You can't win with overagers not showing up. Last 15 ganes from our 3: Cam MacDonald 4+3 -7 3ppg Zach Biggar 0+1 -2 Conor Shortall 1+1 +2 And this is the "short cut" way to winning our fans are supposed to be supporting. If this team just followed the boring rebuild path its probably got 3-5 less wins then it has right now with all these guys who cost high draft picks. Schmitt, Biggar, Burbidge, MacDonald all cost a combined 3 1sts 7 2nds 1 3rd 1 6th

i think you going to see some teams throw in the towel Are we in this Group ? .......Probably Not because everything was rushed and there is no turning back .Just watch what The Brass does here in a few weeks . All I know is it better work or you're gonna be able to hear a Pin drop in C200 . You would think with the King's Ransom's that our GM gave up to bring in certain Players that we would be sitting prettier and doing a FREAKIN lot better on these Maritime Road Trips against the Teams below us . Soooooo Frustrating watching them Live or on TV . They show you glimpses of what could be then they come out and look like a Bad JR B Team . Milota is starting to look like the Guy we Drafted and this Team wastes his Quality Starts . Beyond Frustrating .

Overagers all disappointments simply looking at the huge drop offs to this point. Great observation. What about the system? Stretch passes + tip dump-in over and over forcing players to fight for possession down low instead of progressing with the puck. When you have 10 x U19 upfront, I don't think it's the best strategy. Guys like Burbidge, Squires and Shields would create a lot more. Look at Halifax how they progress with the puck with short passes, support and speed. They create a lot more chances with a young core. How many icings per game where you restart in your zone after being able to gain possession initially just before icing it? Often, they win the faceoff in their own zone and they ice it. No movement on the PP, no setup plays. All players stay at the same place, very predictable.
