Looks to be the same lines as yesterday. Gonna say 4-2 Eagles. They are 6-1-1 in their last 8 with the only regulation loss coming from Victoriaville.
Hoping to gradually see some consistency with the lines, and NEED to improve the powerplay. Was nice to see them finally get one yesterday, but still 2 for 24 on the year.

The last few games have been awful hockey!! No pointing anybody out but has a team it’s just awful hockey, has a team they are going thru the motions!!! Sure you can say they won but something isn’t right with the team!! Have to fix it or this team will be out in the first round of the playoffs playing the way they are!!

3-2 Halifax because I'm being optimistic. They haven't been playing great but I have a feeling that's about to change the coaches were talking on the post-game about being more consistent that is going to start to come as we are getting bodies back, and we have the same lines except the 4th as last night give them time to gel.

Could this be the first win of the season where both Cataford and Vidicek were held pointless? Great to see the new guys all pitchin in for the game winner there, and that's back to back 30+ shot games. Hate seeing another 0/3 on the PP though. Not a fantastic game but nice win, lets hope this is the start of another streak!

Big win with how things have been going. Both Sprynar and Denis have 3 G 3 A in 6 games. Maybe the team can get some momentum and confidence going. Love that 2nd line. They now need Vidicek and Cataford to turn it up as well.

I like to see Furlong and Crosby on the first power play Furlong shot from the point and Crosby sitting in front of the net blocking the goalie’s sight old school hockey but very effective. Furlong’s goal today was that way with Crosby big body in front of the net . They have to try something different without Dumais and his vision they can’t seem it going so why not try something new .

They now need Vidick and Cataford to turn it up as well. For 3 guys who have never played together, all playing for a new team, I really like the line. And for a guy who has had a down year, Sprynar has been excellent. Not pretty today, but good win against a team playing well at the moment. Like a lot of wins this year, Rousseau stood tall. A lot of really sloppy play though. Too many turnovers, soft on pucks, just overall bad puck management.

A lot of really sloppy play though. Too many turnovers, soft on pucks, just overall bad puck management. I’m not a big Reynolds guy but I do find that line is playing well. On a team that isn’t huge upfront Sprynar brings a bit of a power forward style and was a smart addition. Being 18 is a really nice bonus, gives them some flexibility next year. Denis I’ve been really impressed with… he’s basically the forward version of Schultz. Hits way above his weight class bringing a bit of what lacks upfront and is good at both ends. Like you said not pretty but a little better than the last few. I think if they figure out what they like in those top three lines as Crosby and Levesque get up to speed hopefully a few lines get somewhat rolling until Dumais is back. With a bit of scoring the D and goaltending will keep the points coming. Despite everything over the last 6 weeks the Moose I think work out to 2nd best in the league for goals against. The horrendous has been the power play, under 20%… 11th in the league and not heading in the right direction lately. It’s been momentum killing.

It feels like the team has found a small groove in the past 2 games. Great to see goals come from players other than the first line. Also great to see that we’re outshooting teams. Most of the game the shot ratio was 2:1 in favour of the moose. We need to work on the powerplay. When we get Dumais back in March and the lines keep settling in, we can definitely expect some fun time come playoffs!

I’m very surprised by the a lot of the posts. This past week this team took 5 of a possible 6 points. When you say that and hear that it sounds like a great week. Here’s the thing those 5 points at no point came easy. At no point in those 3 games could any really say Halifax has this game. Chicoutimi I’ll give you they ran into a hot goaltender who got robbed of a star. He kept them in it and they made it closer than it should’ve been.
In saying all that I do agree with the assessments on the 3 new guys. They have provided this team with a soils 2nd line which has been so desperately needed. I really like Sprynar, he’s what we needed from the second euro spot. He seems to be pretty comfy here so far. Denis is the player they hoped Larmand would be. He’s kind of a super discounted version of L’Heureux. Can score plays the body well plays with a high energy that can’t really be equated. The biggest difference between the two, besides skill level is opposing fans aren’t going to hate Denis. He’s that type of player that you could call a pest but is just likable.
Reynolds I have to admit i was on the record of saying he’s a guy I wanted to see Cam go get. His skill is obvious but the part of his game that isn’t talked about. He’s the type of player that when on another team he gives arrogant IDGF body language. But it’s not the case. Go watch the highlights of the Sags game. Sags 2nd goal was caused by a turn over and Reynolds very easily could have just could have skated back to the bench. Nope he busted his ass to get back and yes they still scored but the effort wasn’t expected.
After all that praise for the second I think they need to move Denis up with Cataford and Vidicek. I think he can open up more ice for them and Levesque just does not work with Vidicek. They’ve tried putting him with him and they don’t click. Vidicek needs to play with players he clicks with. If the chemistry isn’t right he doesn’t produce. I think you flip Levesque and Denis the 2 lines might be more effective. Just my opinion.
