The Too Be Determined in all this is Irwin Simon . I like where the Team is right now and heading into next year but I am not the Owner . I can't help but think he could tinker with whatever Sly and Company have planned . I hope he stays out of it and lets them do their jobs . He has a mess in Newfoundland that needs cleaning up , so hopefully his attention is on that . The Attendance Figures have been promising ......however Mother Nature is gonna rear her Ugly Head this Weekend , happens every year a game or two affected by Major Snow Storms . The issue becomes that as fans go on about deep playoff runs the minute they see a few wins in a row Simon can't just do a reset if round 1 doesn't go as well as expected in what will be a difficult series. Simon needs to step back and let these guys do their jobs and see where things stand after next season. Even if this season ends with a sour taste. There's finally something building here that hasn't for a while.

I am not convinced the philosophy changed as much as we think. Most of the emptying of the cupboards was on reputation vs what was truly communicated. Town Halls always talked about a strong prospect pool and pick bank, listing players that could return each of the next 3 seasons. Did we assume Sly would repeat Bathurst? No question, but I do remember awhile back him talking about the difference in the 2 markets and that a GM strategies need to adapt. Either way, Milota a young D-core prosect pool that is very solid and some emerging forwards have given the coaching staff and Sly something to work with for a 2 year run. I believe there was a quote at one point about expecting to move that SJ 1st during this past trade period which later was talked back. From the minute we moved Desruisseaux last year it was all about 2025 in terms of messaging from the team. I don't remember she SJ 1st being discussed in that way, but maybe it was. It could have been a verbal dangle to see who would bite, maybe Louis had some influence as well. It is still all about 2025, but as time passes and prospects start to come to light, things can change and evolve. 2025 in my opinion remains a huge focus

Mooseheads fan here (I come in peace Lol)
Seriously though, it's great to see the fans going back to the rink there for the Eagles (winning more often helps), but the off-ice involvement of the team/players in the community is a great idea. Helps generate future fans and season ticket holders. Helps secure the long term viability of the franchise in that area.
I imagine Centre 200 is buzzing when the Eagles are good.
