Another one of those wins where we probably didn’t play how we wanted to for 40 minutes but found a way to dig one out against a team below us.
I know it’s been said often but how Romeo has fit in with us is remarkable - he seems to love playing here and has thrived in that top 6 role. The guy can flat out score and has added a secondary punch we desperately needed. I also have noticed over the last while that Burbidge just doesn’t seem to be himeself and the work ethic has dropped. Same with Patterson who found himself on the 4th line last night for a bit and Squires was with Newcombe for a bit and seems to be a big time connection and chemistry with those two
Maybe time for a shakeup over the road-trip ??
Also Ruccia …. Again …. This guy is having one hell of a season

Was sad to see him go but he had clearly been struggling for whatever reason the first half of this season. It's been great to see him succeed with the Eagles, even cheered when he scored on us last night. Glad he found a good fit. Ruccia had a some incredible saves. As technically a fan of a rival team, CB is super fun to watch. I will be cheering for Cape Breton in the playoffs (assuming the Isles do not make it passed the first round). Hope everyone is surviving the storm! Smart of them to postpone.

disappointed in Patterson from the Moncton flyers Atlantic champion MVP PS drafting is hard to do In a lot of ways it is the developing that is hard. The drafting is easier. You see the players play and project based on the different factors. Patterson was great in midget...drafting him was the easy part when you think about it. He stood out when going against his peers. But developing afterwards is hard. Different methods will effect each player in different ways. And some just won't develop no matter what you do.
