3-0 after 1st. MacKinnon, Reynolds, Levesque. Strong period by the Moose. Reynolds goal nice pass from Denis. Levesque steals the puck and snips top corner. Very nice!

That move from Lou was sweet, great individual effort.
Anyone getting spotty audio quality on CHL TV? not static but like a record skip almost. It hasn't happened yet in this period but happened often in the first.
Edit: nevermind just had it happen again.

After 2 periods pei is still in the single digit shots. That’s what I wanna see lol. Let’s keep it under control in the 3rd. Great effort. Feels like LFD and Reynolds have found each other. Wonder what happens when Dumais is back? Crosby on 2nd line or Levesque? It’s funny I have to think about it - too many good players I’d love to see in the top 2 lines. But even thinking about or third line with MacPhee and either Crosby Levesque and Sprynar. But wait - Todd is still there as well. He has been playing great. Our top 3 lines will all be dangerous. At this point I am rambling…

Mathis Rousseau officially 2nd in franchise history in shutouts, he is 3 shutouts away from tying Zach Fucale.
What a win boys I wish I was there, makes me want to get excited again when the team is scoring goals again.

a rare Furlong goal! a 2 point game! I'm being spoiled. I had hits 5-4 Moose in the 2nd (marked 3-2 Moose on the score sheet). Not a very physical period. I have it 13-9 Moose after the 2nd. The score sheet says 8-4 Moose. I'd guess the standard for what counts as a hit isn't super consistent... which makes sense because even the NHL, a league where counting stats mean much more in terms of betting/fantasy/salary arbitration, just went through their own standards. It's subjective any way you slice it. I don't see much cause for concern in Halifax's game at this moment. If they ever lose a game badly and get outhit by a -10 differential... that might be a problem, but that can be solved by telling any of the players with some physicality in their game to turn up the temperature.

They really could have used Denis last season.

They really could have used Denis last season. An addition to the 3rd line is the trade I most wanted to see at the end of the trade period last season, he would have been a good fit. He seems a good personality and fits well with the team which is good to see. His celebration with Reynolds was good to see tonight, Reynolds was a little too stoic and serious in the first few games for my taste.

I wonder if it took a while for him to go from captain mode to just a teammate. Good to see he's settled in more. Also, congrats to the Mooseheads on clinching a playoff spot! not that it was in doubt, but still satisfying to see that x

Best game the Mooseheads have played in awhile, Rousseau wasn't tested a whole lot but made big stops when he needed too.
I'd be lying to say I wasn't a little nervous after we beat Cha 4-0 last time we played them at home. But we are starting to click and I don't know Cha just hasn't looked the same the last few games against us.
Maybe we can make a run once we get McPhee and Dumais back; I mean for some reason we struggle against lower teams but then we compete and do really well on our Que road trip maybe that helped the guys confidence some.

The team said they weren't happy with their performance Thursday night. I thought they bounced back perfectly Saturday. You could tell they took their feet off the gas after the 4-0 goal, but it also may have been coaching preaching a defensive strategy that would be more like a playoff game. Charlottetown hardly had a sniff after that.
This team's makeup does scare me. They are built like Victoriaville was last year when they got upset in the first round. Seeing their forecheck and tenaciousness Saturday night gives me hope they are at least thinking about the right things going into the final quarter of the season.
7 goals and Vidicek doesn't get a point. It's actually a good sign. The depth on this team dwindles as they play better teams, but just putting pucks in the net will give them confidence, and confidence can go a long way.

With Dumais nearing a return that should give the offense a boost or 14. hopefully Reynolds can go back to his SJ form 10 pts and 3 goals in 10 games just isnt the upgrade on fournier needed in Halifax although if you pair Reynolds with Dumais that will improve Reynolds game in Halifax big time. Goaltending and defense can be the best in the league some nights

Goaltending and defense can be the best in the league some nights I dont feel like Reynolds should go with Dumais, Are you going to break up the Dumais, Vid, Cataford line? After the weekend I fell like Reynolds came back from the injury with a good attitude. I would like to see the following lines; Dumais/Vidicek/Cataford Levesque/Denis/Crosby Kilfoil/Reynolds/Sprynar Todd/MacPhee/Moser I know it would require dropping Reynolds down the lineup but I feel you could run 3 lines without much of a drop off. Reynolds also looks more comfortable in the middle. That 4th line with MacPhee would be able to bring the work ethic and Boom when needed.
