Cataford/Vidicek/Dumais line doesn’t really make much sense to me come playoff time. But to regular season standards I think that’s what you run majority of the time.
Many different ways you can form the lines but these would be my two favourites.
Reynolds | Denis | Dumais Levesque | Vidicek | Cataford Sprynar | Kilfoil | Crosby
Levesque | Denis | Dumais Sprynar | Vidicek | Cataford Kilfoil | Reynolds | Crosby

Yes I agree with you that the Cataford, Vidicek, Dumais line maybe should be broken up but you kept the wrong combo of that together. Vidicek has played well with out Dumais but he plays his best with him. Also this part is my opinion but after seen Sprynar’s last two goals I really want to see what he can do with that one timer with Dumais passing. Here’s what I think they should try with the line combos. Sprynar/ Vidicek/ Dumais Levesque/ Reynolds/ Cataford Kilfoil/ Denis/ Crosby MacPhee/ Todd/ whoever the pick of the day is The 2nd and 3rd line I could also see flipping Denis and Levesque, then putting Kilfoil in the middle of the 3rd line. Reynolds celly with Denis was the first time he looked like he was having fun here. Maybe they have some Chemistry that you don’t want to mess with. That lengthens the scoring a lot.

Coach has already said that they plan to keep Denis with Reynolds and Vidicek with Cataford. When?

I mean after seeing them celebrate last game I just don't think it is helpful for Denis or Reynolds to be separated. The Dumais/Vidicek/Cataford line can produce. They carried us the first couple weeks - why split them up? Why not something like this:
Cataford | Vidicek | Dumais Levesque | Denis | Reynolds Sprynar | Kilfoil | Crosby
Even then our 4th line wouldn't look that bad with MacPhee, Todd and Moser (or whovever) - I'd hate to be on the ice against Todd and MacPhee... They can be feisty...

I agree with that Sprynar/Dumais combo you mentioned too, I was experimenting with that last night but not sure if Midge would actually go out and do that, you never know though, his shot is sick. My only thing is Denis is a majority French speaker, I feel like it makes more sense to put Denis with Levesque and Cataford and have the maritime line of Crosby, Kilfoil, and Reynolds all together. Crosby and Kilfoil will need a good veteran role model that can communicate well with. I don’t think there’s a big ceiling between the two centers of Denis/Reynolds right now both are playing good hockey, in all fairness both deserve top 6 minutes. I can imagine Reynolds pleading his case for more minutes if he was sent to the third. But it’s getting the most out of the lines that will get you all the day. I also agree there might be some nice chemistry with Denis/Reynolds you don’t want to mess up there. There’s a lot of potential to experiment with what we have, the injury bug will be back. Someone’s outta go out again soon, but in the meantime hopefully we get our full lineup in action and see what goes from there. Great observations.

PLAYOFFS L’Heureux | Lawrence | Boucher Doucet | Vidicek | Dumais MacPhee/Biasca | Cataford | Fournier Peitzsche | Biasca/MacPhee | Crosby REGULAR SEASON Doucet | Lawrence | Dumais L’Heureux | Vidicek | Cataford Boucher | Biasca | MacPhee Peitzsche | Fournier | Crosby The line you mentioned is pretty probable at the moment.

No question the Mooseheads don't have the depth of quality they had last year, but... I'd argue their bottom 6 is significantly better. Last year the 4th line was basically unplayable in the playoffs. The 3rd line was acting as a 4th line.
You have to imagine that contributed to the top guys wearing down and not being able to keep up with Quebec's depth.
Tho it remains to be see how much Kikfoil and Sprynar are used in the playoffs. I think both can play, I've actually been pleasantly surprised by Sprynars compete level. He's not consistent as he could be tho. But he's a strong kid who can win puck battles.
Kilfoil is very good too... but I worry about him being ready for late round playoff hockey

If the Mooseheads had the Eagles intensity I wouldn't worry about this team. Halifax is just so frustrating to watch with the talent they have. Rousseau is having an off night.

that might have been the most absurd check to the head call I've ever seen... and the ref is literally standing directly in front of it

They've created more than enough chances to win. Can't pull ahead and defensive mistakes creeping in tonight. Brutal, brutal refereeing tonight too.

Control in the Eagles end with 1:30 to play and not even pulling the goalie?

Yikes what was that? Also were the refs blind? Brutal. Oh well, I’ll just forget about it…

The problem is not the players it’s the coach , he doesn’t have a clue or the killer instinct to go for it , this will be a one and done for old midge .
