I know he didn't play the greatest last time, but I really do wish we would play milner more. How is a player supposed to get better if he hardly plays? That last game was (I believe) also his first game played since Rousseau came back.
Our struggles continue, 4-2 Phoenix final.

Milner will see lots of action next year when Rousseau gets traded ! But for the rest of this season and playoffs it’s Rousseau 90 per cent of the time .

If Rousseau is injured or doesn't return for his overage year (or is traded), he's the only obvious option without another move. Either way, who knows what this team looks like next year. IMO no use counting chickens before they hatch.

Will be fascinating to see what direction they go with the goalies in a rebuilding year. Madgett has great numbers this year on a dominant Macs team, but probably needs another year (preferably in Jr. A). Do we dip into the import goalie pool? Bring in a 20 like Ruccia or Fleming?

Good start to the road trip. But man it baffles me how they so rarely outshoot anybody Edit: huh, after all the discussion about the 3 stars here we see all visiting stars

I see it the other way. He has done exactly enough to show they need to find the next guys this draft. Here’s the biggest problem with next years goalies that no one seems to notice. The goalie market for next year is basically set. A lot of goalies were moved at the trade deadline that are 2 year guys. BC went and got gravel who will be back next year. Rimouski is set with getting there 1st rounder to report and acquiring Miller. CB probably brings both guys back. Moncton is the biggest maybe here and maybe they aren’t confident in Steinman and come for Rousseau. Basically what I’m saying is there’s a good chance we end up like PEI the past to year with their 20yos. Halifax probably starts the year with Rousseau in the net and hope someone’s goalie under preforms or goes down with an injury. Either way Milner has show. Over and over this year he is not a goalie worth giving minutes too. Those minutes will be better given to the next franchise goalie.

It was good to see Braeden MacPhee back, but he didn't play a lot over the final two periods. I'll just throw this out there, but if you think of Braeden MacPhee (and maybe it's only me) - but you always picture him jostling with somebody in a scrum - and it always seems to be near the opponent's net. What I'm getting at is that he adds so much to the team that can't be measured. When his line can go out there and finish their shift in the O Zone and you can then send out a line with Vidicek or Denis - that's how you swing momentum - or establish momentum. He got re-injured in the first half of the game and will be out (again) for a little while. He's not a critical piece to the forward group as it currently stands - if it were me I'd shut him down until playoff time just to make sure he's 100%.

I am on the same page as trueblue. Macphee injured himself again early in the game. I say keep him out and have him ready for playoffs. He brings a lot of grit to this team and i think has a lot of respect from his teammates. Nice to have Cataford back tonight.
I am going 6-3 Moose. Cataford with an empty netter.
