With a 2-3-2 Series Setup , taking care of Business those first two at home , goes without saying .......an absolute must .

Hard to not get excited for this time of year. Especially when you see the path this team could go down.
In the here and now this is a series we should win. We're mostly healthy and on an absolute roll. We're a tough road team and this is a league where that has big implications.
Everyone knows I don't necessarily subscribe to the experience idea that these guys have to go far to prep for next year. Halifax is sitting out there with everyone just expecting an upset even with all that top end experience.
And not to look forward but with a little Chicoutimi surprise how nice do the 2nd round matchups look to the league if its BC v Chi and Hal v CB in round 2?
Ultimately its all about Friday night right now. Hopefully get close to 3000 in the building and get #10 in a row.

Honestly I'm a bit surprised by how excited I am for the playoffs this year, I think most of us expect the series against Rimouski to be a tough one going 6 or 7 games.
Like Jack I'm trying not to look forward but if the Eagles get by Rimouski the idea of that potential 2nd Round series against Halifax if Chicoutimi went on to upset Moncton is hard not to get excited about not just from a storyline aspect because of last year's playoffs but personally because of the potential crowd sizes we could see as well.
I'm really looking forward to getting things started Friday which I didn't think I'd be saying looking back in early December lol.

Excited is an understatement for sure - however this series is a coin flip in my opinion and I actually don’t think I would be crazy surprised or disappointed if they go out in 6/7 games the parody between 2-6 ( hfx mon cape rim chic) is soooo small Goaltending will be a difference maker - ruccia > whoever rimouski goes with Special teams PP - Rim. PK - CB Defence - I love cap D core with shorty back there , physical group but will be pushed with the speed and structure rimouski has Offensively - probably a slight edge to rimouski here with Blais, Matthieu, St denis Coursal being all healthy Coaching. - Louis all day
Overall - it’s a tight matchup - If cape wins I think it is because Ruccia holds his own and makes the saves he has to make. Cape won’t give up 35+ shots very often so be sharp and if we can capitalize on our chances play physical in your face dump and Chase style hockey we will really make rimouski defend more than they want to Rimouski has the depth the do some damage against our depth - PP is very good and can bury teams if they aren’t discipline
I would predict Cape in 7 but man is this tight

This has the making of a great series Rimouski has some nice depth, similar to Cape, but like other posters I think it will come down to goaltending and for that I give the edge to the Eagles
The crowds at C200 will be good this weekend, I am guessing 3500 + each night.
The 2-3-2 can be challenging, so those first 2 games carry a lot of weight.
Eagles in 6

With Miller injury, no doubt you will win.
We still don’t know if it will be Lacelle or Massé

If I remember correctly Rimouski's play-by-play guy had a recorded interview during one of the intermissions of the final Eagles games were he said at that time if Miller returned for the playoffs it wouldn't be until later in the 1st round series game 5 or 6 I believe he said was the expected timetable at the time of the interview.
