Well here we are, expectations are not high, I'm as pissed as anybody for ownership taking the cheap way and not spending to the CBT.
On the positive side, there are a lot of young players on the roster with a chance to establish themselves in MLB or in a bigger role down the road...
Wong...2nd MLB season, great defensively, has untapped offense Casas...had a great 2nd half, can he grow into a stud MVP candidate Grissom...good young player with offensive upside rookie year Duran...young guy who took a step last year on offense and defense, is there another level? Abreu...showed really nice flashes late season, bat has upside Yoshida...not a young player but flashes last year, wore down late season, can he take it up a notch? Rafaela...intriguing young player, defense, speed and some pop
Bello...showed flashes, has #1-2 SP upside, top notch stuff Crawford...took a nice step last year, can he establish himself as a good mid rotation SP? Houck & Whitlock...both have good stuff, are they SP or RP
Stud prospects Mayer, Teel and Anthony are also +- a year away from at least a MLB cameo.

good start for the Sox pitching staff
of course until they start playing the real clubs hard to get too excited but maybe they will be better than I thought

I cannot believe how strong the starting pitching has been even with key injuries to half the staff thus far
