So over the last few years I have read articles with players about playing in places like Val d'Or and other Quebec markets. The one thing that stood out in the articles is that its never hard for Maritime born players to feel at home because everything is done in English surrounding the game/ coaching/ training. (I used to wonder why if language is always such a hot button in some places why no French player family ever pushes back that things are done in English. The reality is in the on ice part of the sport of hockey that transcends borders the players and families all know English is needed) You think this would be common knowledge in Quebec. Apparently outside the complex it's not. The political types I guess only sometimes care. Like when its visible.

Ban them from the league. Give SJ a BYE to the second round. There's really no other choice. Damage is done.

While I can kind of (slightly, not saying it isn't a xenophobic world view) see there point, does anyone else think that it is laughable that the provincial government leaders (leader of the opposition and cabinet minister) are spending their time worrying about what t-shirts a junior hockey team is wearing? Quebec must be an awfully well-run province if that is all they have to debate in the legislature ...

You'd have to be a pretty terrible human being to take the time to complain about a private organization in a private league not using the primary language behind closed doors.
Nevermind the crumbling infrastructure of all of the provinces because no one will make any changes that don't have a self-serving photo op attached.

One the one hand, I am pro the preservation of french language and culture, but the people complaining about it seem to be coming at it from a very.... uhh.... xeneophic/supremacist angle which is obviously not something I agree with. Like, you're KINDA right that the league should at least be bilingual, but the reasons you have for thinking that are wrong and make me think you also have really shitty opinions about other things too.

The Voltigeurs org made a mistake and will correct it. No need for a probe.
