A public company has an obligation to shareholders to increase profits. There is no wiggle room on this. This is where the contradiction lies, it is known job loss of the potential of job losses cause mental health issues, and they want to promote good mental health. They can't reconcile each other. Sad reality of life.

Sad reality of life. But here's the thing.... Cutting people to decrease revenue is the laziest way to accomplish that goal for increasing profits for those huge companies. Put those people to work doing things to drive interest and generate new money. The race to the bottom simple ends with someone else doing what you're doing better then you are eventually in my view. Part of it is definitely a failed model in current day from an era where it made sense. Since 2009 or so we have not needed endless sportscenter episodes in the AM window. Yet we have 2 national broadcasters doing it. Zero originality. Overload us with Euro and Asian sports overnight and early morning. Try something new.

The mother fuckers are useless and lazy, and lack creativity to try to generate revenue, instead they would rather just keep subtracting. I'm sure those left have brilliant ideas that aren't being listend to.
