What a killer career, real cut throat player out on the field. Still had a better run with the Broncos than Russell Wilson did

2 months and 2 days short of that night on June 12th, 1994.
I didn't really get into football until I was in junior high so I only caught the end of OJ's football career and only really knew him as the actor who I loved in The Naked Gun movies. I just learned today that James Cameron once considered OJ for the Terminator role and Arnold as Kyle Reese.
The night of the white Bronco chase was the night my wife and I found out that she was pregnant with our second daughter.
It's 30 years later and I still am in shock that it happened and that he got away with it - if it had been maybe a few years later the DNA evidence would have been more credible in the eyes of a jury as this took place in a much different age than what we have now.
The trial was one of the biggest spectacles I have ever seen, when my business partners and I were getting our start we went into the old Midtown 2-3 times a week for lunch and the trial was on TV every day.

It’s funny that you should mention the old Midtown, the first time that I was there was in September 1995 just a few weeks before the verdict and the trial was on. I missed out on seeing the Bronco chase live, I was drinking at a campfire and found out about it the next morning when I made it back to civilization.

I think race played a large part, at that time the LAPD was known to be quite racist, remember the Rodney King beating, so having a detective who had said racist things on radio played perfectly into the defense narrative.

The reason was Cameron said he couldn't see OJ as a coldblooded killer.
