I know we haven’t quite mentioned that but seems to be some people upset with Louis - have no idea how. If he isn’t head coach next year a lot of players will NOT be happy Whats fans of this team have an issue? I don't think i've seen many.

If he isn’t head coach next year a lot of players will NOT be happy Seems more like some of the quebec based posters have a bit of a bad view on him, no chance he isn't back next year. No matter what way you slice it, he's gotten this group playing some great hockey and it's easy to forget they're literally playing against the #1 team in Canada while we're the lowest remaining seed in the country. I personally haven't seen any Eagles fan who thinks Louis isn't doing an incredible job. The series might be 3-1 but it could easily be 2-2 right now if not for a bit of fortuitous review decisions in game 2 in BC.

Agreed, he has a 3-year deal and I don't see that changing, 100% behind the bench next season.

If he isn’t head coach next year a lot of players will NOT be happy Just some people think that History is repeating itself from his time in Gatineau . Louis is doing a Great Job I believe . Jim Hulton hasn;t won the Q yet .....but take a Survey amongst the League and he might just be considered the Best Coach in the League .

Don't forget, that Louis lost to the Mem Cup champs last season, as did the rest of the country.

I think most would have accepted even an average performing coach if it meant there could be some year over year stability so we could go longer then 6-12 months without a major change. The fact we've signed someone who has performed very well just works out even better.

What do we have in store for tonight? The sole focus has to be getting back to Sydney for game 6 and putting all the BS aside. This series has been a story of 3 lapses by the Eagles. -Game 1 start -Game 2, 2nd period Majors -Game 3 start I know it's easy to say, but the rest of the hockey has been fairly even, BC made a push late in game 3, but that happens in every 2-1 playoff game. Game 5 is winnable, Louis's biggest challenge of his young Eagles career. If we are throwing out things like one of the best ever, tonight's performance will go a long way in starting that conversation. This game has to be about energy, smart energy, with all that has happened in this series, I see this as one of Robitaille's biggest games as a coach. The 2nd period majors really didn't cost CB game 2 - they lost that game with bad decisions with the puck. Despite gaining momentum from killing the two majors they lost really in the final 12 seconds of period 2 when it was 4 on 4. Still a lapse. These teams play best when they are scared. CB best play was when pushed. And B-C best play when really need a good start they got it. Or really need a big push like end of game 4 was in their pocket and almost made it. I do not like how we keep getting the excuse they are up against "top team in country" - yeah B-C is up there with Prince George, Portland and London. But Cape Breton probably is better than last year's Peterborough team OHL Champs which were the only one to beat Quebec in a game in last years Memorial Cup. No team is as good as Quebec was last year. Baie Comeau is not much removed from Drummondville. Cape Breton is built deep enough to beat some of these teams. They are as good as North Bay and maybe a tad less the strength of the Memorial Cup hosts Saginaw. They totally belong based on play from start of 2024.

CB is where they are standings wise due to a poor first half. They were better then Moncton on paper but could never find consistency until well after Xmas. If Louis had the team more focused on starting games better in Oct/Nov they finish more around a top 4/5 team. And who knows...maybe play a Bathurst and lose a hard fought series. Getting Rim and Chi were huge as matchups. Almost felt like our entire history of bad luck and bad bounces finally had us in a position where we had an easier path presented that in most years is really hard to get from the middle of the standings.

Almost felt like our entire history of bad luck and bad bounces finally had us in a position where we had an easier path presented that in most years is really hard to get from the middle of the standings. Now to spin that around Baie-Comeau are exactly where they are because of what they are their identity. First all season. Got the gimme first round opponent. Really pushed by Bathurst...and fortunate to sweep them with OT wins and blown leads....BUT good teams tend to pull those series out in 4 or 5 games. Everything is a little easier with confidence and other teams fear things like their PP changes the face of the game. If you fear their PP then you can't take chances playing to the limit because you fear being penalized. You let them chart the game. Only a few teams in history could play to the wall and not care about penalties - and those teams had goalies/PK that were exceptional. Could dictate the whole game or series. B-C can be beaten by a team that has a confident PK and the good William Rousseau style goaltending from 2023.

Interesting, his mother was posting on the eagles facebook page that he had a broken hand. Glad he’s good to go.

Interesting, his mother was posting on the eagles facebook page that he had a broken hand, I guess not hahaha. I think you have a kid willing to try and do whatever he can to help his Team. He is going to be one hell of a 20 year for the Eagles next season.

I’d be leaning towards Squires, potential two year captain and the way he carried himself this season has really impressed me.
