Updated.
I know there are a lot of you that don't want the Cats to make the playoffs. I figured I would start this thread for those of us who want to keep an eye on the standings.
Maybe someone could sticky this thread.

More road games and against some tougher opponents. I agree we are at a disadvantage being on the road more, but not so sure about the tougher opponents part ... other than their games against us, their seven remaining games are all against teams in the top half of the division and/or red hot down the stretch (Riki and Bathurst). I don't see an easy win on their schedule - not that I really see any on ours either ...

if we finish most points of victroville does we go in playoff The last place team in each division misses out on the playoffs. We could have more points than all teams in the Telus (well, not mathematically), but if we finish last in our division, we are out.

We need 4 points to make the playoffs with three games left, plus PEI would need to lose the rest of theirs. That means the magic number is three points. Any combination of PEI gaining and/or Moncton losing three points will eliminate us from the playoffs. It could be all over tomorrow, with a Moncton loss in regulation and PEI gaining at least a point. In any case, it will take a miracle for Moncton to get in at this point.

Isn't it if PEI gets 5 points you guys are out. So wouldn't that make the magic number 5?

Isn't it if PEI gets 5 points you guys are out. So wouldn't that make the magic number 5? We have 3 games left, which gives us a maximum possibility of 6 points. 56+6=62. PEI has the tie-breaker against us, so to go to the playoffs, we actually absolutely need to pass them and have more points, which means PEI simply needs to get to 62 points to be assured of a playoff spot. They currently have 59, with 62-59=3, that's the magic number.
