Guess it's a matter of preference..but I like Dorions Sports on Dever Rd....right across from the memorial field(Saint John Alpines) at the top of the hill and across the overpass to the left.

Just don't have DK do it! Anyone else ever notice how often our guys take a tumble on our own ice compared to the opposition? My theory is blame it on DK's skate sharpening abilities! ;D

I have noticed that as well along with the puck bouncing around like crazy and never settleing down. It looks like HS ice is terrible to play on.

Ah but if it was just the ice the opposing team would be falling all over the place as well.
As for the pucks...makes me wonder if they are being frozen properly before the game, or frozen at all really.

I had mine done there once, but was brutal. Once is not a trend though. Everyone mucks them up once in awhile no matter how good. I'm picky too.
Edgar at the Rothesay Rink is good, but people avoid blondie. We go to All Sports for All Sorts next to it in the CIBC mall. Some only do 1/2" cuts and some only 3/8". Byron's the only sharpener I know that makes an effort to get it right for you. He has a machine set up for each.
I hear the place at the Superstore in the North End is good too, if they are still there. Sportschek and Cleve's will do in a pinch. I find if you tell them you need a great sharpening for the big game coming up, they pay attention and do a good job.
