After the article today in the T&T I think he's a 90% coming.
It would be a great building block for Moncton to have 4 16YO on the team. Especially since its one in every position :
JBD - Goaltending Gormley - Defence Cisse - Wing Bissonnette - Center
IMO it makes sense to keep all 4 this year

Bissonnette ended up playing Espoir? after he was cut from the same Midget AAA team that Cisse played on last year -I doubt very much if Bissonnette is ready for Major Junior this year.I would think a year at Midget AAA would do him well.

Quebec Midget AAA is about politics...I believe Lala said that that was why Bissonnette was cut.

I agree on Bissonnette, but he was hinting at NCAA so part of that might include playing in Moncton this year. Ideally he goes to MAAA and tears it up there, Cadet and Daoust also.

Having LBD and Bissonnette in the same organisation surely doesn't hurt. I think Downe Daoust and O'brien could also develop as core players. If Cisse and the others all report, they have added a pile of quality 1990's, 1991's and 1992 to the depth chart since midseason. 1990's...Savard(D) Fomin(F) Voynov(D) 1991's...Roski(F) Noseworthy(F) 1992's...Gormley(D) Cisse(F) Downe(D) O'brien(F) Bissonnette(F) LBD(G) plus maybe Cadet(D) and Daoust(F) ...added to 1990's and 1991's already here Brown(F), MacAusland(F) Barberio(D) and Dimitruk(D)...plus maybe Stevens(F). The nice thing about Gormley and Cisse(assimung he reports) is that both can be big contributors at 17 as they are both advanced physically

That brings up the point though that Herr barely ever fought last year and so he ended up just occupying a spot that could be better served by a developing player. The new guys are not small and Biduke even though he's no bent that way could intimidate for his line. Then Brannon, Sills and Lessard don't back away from anyone. I don't think we need a designated fighter at least this year.

Frazee was pretty good in Training Camp not to mention Murdock Maclellan, but still I do agree with you about last year. This year with a large team it doesn't need an enforcer and needs a Bissonnette/Roski/Downe/ Pettit (if not to late) or possibly Frazee way before a Whelan.

Pettitt was cut from Woodstock in Jr.A and a Jr.a team in BC to play Jr.B in BC. Frazee only stayed 48 hours to maintain his NCAA. MacLellan was traded away because he was 19 and had a bit of trade value, he wasn't playing in 08-09 as a 20 anyways. Whelan never reported to camp last year...he's not really an enforcer, a middleweight in the MJAHL.

We had MacAusland, Breton, Eagles and a young Brown who would need Herr if the other team started throwing their weight around. But this year the team should be bigger or the same size as most teams.

I think its always good to have an enforcer. It helps the to have a more physical presence with everyone on the other team (big or small) without having to fear a fight from them cause they know they have someone backing them up.
As for Herr last year, I think he had a great year. He wasn't looking to fight but was ready to back his teammates at any time.
We need someone like Herr especially in blowout games. Remember, last year there were very few blowouts, thus needing less fighting from our enforcers.
