It would be nice to have new uniforms, after awhile teams need to change things up. I would like to see the primary color as blue instead of red.

Personally, I think they will stick with the uniforms they got for this season. I believe 2009/2010 season will be their 10th anniversary (correct me if i'm wrong) so I can see them getting new uniforms then. Something like how we had the black jerseys for the 5th anniversary.

Wasn't their 10 year anniversary the year they hosted the mem cup? with the ugly 10 year logo that looked like two slabs of bacon?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Q will be switching to the RBK Edge jerseys for the 09/10 season so you'll see new jerseys then.

Something like how we had the black jerseys for the 5th anniversary. 09-10 will be the franchise's 15th anniversary... but that would be including the Alpines... and since the current ownership refuses to acknowledge that team's exsistance, you will not see them celebrate the 15th anniversary until the following year.

I honestly don't see the point in changing as of now. Changing the jerseys would be changing for change sake IMO, and I don't really see the point in that. It should also be known that many fans from Quebec find that the Wildcats' white jerseys are in the tops of the league as far as looks go.
As for Sec21critic's message goes, I echo it. I don't know why they chose to completely ignore the franchise. I know it was a failure, but then again, I doubt Mr. Irving would have gotten a franchise if the Alpines wouldn't have been here in the first place.
What would be really cool would be to bring back the Alpines jerseys and use them as 3rd jerseys for the 2009-2010 season. I have my Wildcats jersey and I would buy an Alpines one in a second. And personnaly, I always found that the Alpines had a kick-ass logo.

One thing I'd like them to do and it's against what they ahve been doing is to use the Alpines jersey one night as a 3rd/vintage jersey...maybe they could auction them, off for charity. That's where the franchise started, wether they want to admit it or not. That team produced a lot of good Q players and an NHLer in Dagenais.

Coursol, Pouliot, Beauregard and one of the better captains in franchise history in Martin Latulippe... and of course, Frank Appel, probably still the most underrated player in franchise history. btw, for those interested, I noticed the Q site now has the old game summaries from the Alpines season in the Q as well as a the first few seasons of the Wildcats. If you take a somewhat close look, you'll notice that many of the Alpines' game were fairly close. Lots of ties and one or two goal losses. A few blowouts, but they stayed pretty competitive given the terrible circumstances.
