The Seadogs may have landed a gem, according to their board: Daniel Crescenzi - 18 year old forward who was an all star in Toronto midget AAA. - 5' 11" 200lbs

Does everyone remember what Worrell did in the Q. He had the ability to run over and hurt people. I remember a bone crushing hit on Jamie Brown, had Shelley not challenged him, he would have destroyed everyone he went near. Sometimes size does matter. Yes, but that happened once a period back then. Now that type of stuff happens a handful of times per season, and even less in the playoffs. Agree that a big time heavyweight enforcer isn't necessarily needed. But what do you do if this guy can skate enough to slam some bodies around and wreak a little havoc. Somebody would have to step up, I guarantee you that nobody on the Moose would step up, how about the Eagles or Wildcats? (6'7" 245 is a big, big lad)

Lane could prove to be very important for our younger players- last year Macausland and Brown both played much better with Henegan in the lineup for the short time that he was here and Kyell didn't even have to fight anybody. If Lane can take a regular shift without hurting anything,he'll give a lot of confidence to our younger guys.

In today's T&T they caracterized Molotkow as another enforcer type player. 6'3'' 200lbs 18YO combined with jordan Lane as another enforcer would make Moncton an intimidating team.

if they keep a 25 man roster and trade 2 or 3 there is certainly room for 2 enforcers. Remember that Lane is 19YO so he would probably only be here one year. Molotkow could be here for two and we could get another enforcer for next year.
IMO a team is always better to keep at least 2 guys always ready to fight. Teams are less likely to take cheap shots on your stars if your team is physically intimidating.

Not many tough guys in the Q ... you barely even need one tough guy ... two would be a waste unless one of them could actually play the game too. Keeping a tough guy with limited skill comes at the expense of younger skilled players icetime. Plus ... who knows what new sanctions the Q will implement on fighting now that the province of Quebec has made some noise. It won't be worth it to have a fighter at all if he gets suspended 2 to 4 games everytime he drops the gloves.

If a fight gets you suspended 2 games then you can rotate your enforcers while one is suspended the other plays. Also, I'm assuming the enforcers can play a fourth line role. I agree with you that you should not keep a player to only put him on the ice to fight.

I can't see the Q changing the rules that dramatically. One thing I'd like to see is unprovoked attacks like Roy on Nadeau being suspended much more harshly. I could see if Nadeau blockered one of the Remparts but he clearly wanted no part of a fight, the suspensions should have been at least twice what they were, then all this BS from politicians looking for PR would have been avoided.

SNB have Pisano, Anthony if they make him play that is , and Lamontagne in CB if he is part of the 20 years old he would be crazy enough Not that he would have made the team but Pisano appears to be happy playing in Jr A and finishing school and he won't even be coming to camp.
