As the Cat's are set to begin their third season post Memorial Cup, do you think the team has turned the corner in terms of rebuilding? Or do you think they need a few more early picks and a few more players to mature before they see sucess? Will the additional skill of Voinov and Gormely and the maturity of returning players help propel the Cat's into the upper part of the standings?
IMO we could be better than some expect...maybe like Rimouski was late last season.

Rimouski had a lot of injuries early in the season, thats why it looked like they did so well at the end

We should ask chsb, he is the king of "turning the corner". ;D I think they bottomed out last year and should show decent improvement this year to a 70-75 point team. They have to potential to be even better than that(80-90 pts) if guys like Cameron, Lessard, Brown, MacAusland, Brannon take the next step and if Voynov plays to the level of his skill(PPGM #1 calibre d-man). I think guys like Fomin and Gormley will contribute, how much they contribute should also be a factor. With guys like Barberio, Riopel, Sill, Eagles, Bidduke, Savard etc there is a solid but unspectacular base returning.

IMO Moncton has done a great job of recruiting/buying top talent and so I think the pieces are there these kids just need some time to develop.
So in answer to your question have they turned the corner, I guess it depends on what your expectations are. My guess is Moncton will be a better team then they were last season but still in the bottom half of the league and still in major development mode.
But as early as next season they could be a team to beat in the Atlantic Division.
