I was wondering If Gallant got a return of a 6th round pick and Bouchard got a return of a 5th round pick, what will be Herr's value?
IMO I would say that he was a better player than both Bouchard and Gallant so I would assume he could get a better return than a 5th.
Now that 2 Enforcer's have already been traded, does that decrease his value or increase it?

Did you even watch Bouchard or Gallant play this year? Must not have if you say Herr is a better player.

Herr's problem is that the teams that could have taken on a 20 year-old fighter are already doing so...but seriously, why give up a 5th for Bouchard when you can have Herr for free?

Bouchard in particular is actually not a bad player, good speed, hits and battles on the boards well... he brings a ton of intensity and LOVES fighting, its not just a role he fulfills. Plus, he is a hometown boy in Chicoutimi so its a good fit for him. And maybe the Bouchard crazy will unlock the Martel crazy thats been more or less dormant for a few years

Herr's problem is that the teams that could have taken on a 20 year-old fighter are already doing so...but seriously, why give up a 5th for Bouchard when you can have Herr for free? Bouchard had no trouble with Herr in their fights ... and Bouchard always had a pretty solid reputation as a fighter in the Quebec division. They are both just checking forwards and neither is better than the other skill wise. Plus ... Bouchard is the home town kid in Chic ... so getting him instead of Herr is a no brainer. Paying a 5th for Bouchard is way too much. On the other hand ... Herr also can play D (not great ... limited role only) and so that allows you to have 7 D in the lineup when he is dressed ... which is helpful in games where injuries/penalties/suspensions take a toll on the D. However ... chances are he is involved in the penalties or suspensions if they occur. If I had the option of trading to get either guy ... I wouldn't pay more than a 7th ... and I'd take Bouchard first. Gallant is the better fighter of the 3 ... poorest skater of the 3 ... which makes him not so great in a checking role. But he is also probably a better leader than the other two ... but perhaps not on a new team. Gallant and Bouchard are a little better with the puck than Herr ... as Herr is useless with the puck ... but none of them are very good. I'd pay a 5th for Gallant ... a 7th for Bouchard ... and an 8th for Herr ... if I was inclined to use a 20 YO slot on an enforcer ... which I am not.

I would pay a 5th to any division rival if they wanted to keep Herr and promised to play him at least 10 minutes per game against us.
Seriously guys... Herr???, other than his willingness to fight, what has he done?

Well in all fairness to him...He was never a great fighter...But never had a problem getting his bell rung for his team... And he lost more then he won...
