I liked the draft that we had. I certainly hope Downe makes it. He's one of my favorites rookies in camp.
If Downe makes it, there will possibly be 4 16YO on the team. Has this ever happened before? Usually there is one maybe two per team.

IMO 4 16 yr olds isn't too many provided they are god enough and there is a distribution of Forwards, defense and goalie. But if it was 3 or 4 16 yr old forwards that is too many.

Usually there is one maybe two per team. I think it's fine as long as they can all play at this level. Gormley is an elite 16 year old, after a brief adaptation period he should be playing like a veteran. Downe is fine here as long as he can get 45-50 games in. I think a guy like Boyle will end up being moved to open up the #6 spot if/when Voynov arrives. I could see him going back to MAAA until midseason also as they can't make that move until then. LBD should get into around 20 games with starts and a few relief outings, working with FBJ possibly the top goalie coach in the Q should really help his game. Bissonnette is the only one I question, skill wise he can play here no problem, jumping from ME to the Q is a bit of a concern but he's still looked pretty good against veterans. If he is not getting enough ice time, I can see him playing MAAA the second half to work on his game.

Usually there is one maybe two per team. If my memory serves me well it has happened in 2001-2002 with Bernier, Crawford, Gagné, Saunders Edit: I was wrong. The 4th one was Pelham as Gagné was drafted at 17 but the Cats started the season with 6 16 YO (Graham and Murnahan being the other 2) Also, Jonathan Favreau and Kevin Hamel played a handful of games as 16 YO. That was an amazing draft! Especially when you add Salvis, Glode and Desruisseaux.

They were all rookies drafted in 2001, however, Crawford and Gagne were drafted as 17 (born 1984).

As long as they have showed they belong in training camp, why not keep them?? They'll form the core of your team 2-3 years down the road.

And Desruisseaux was part of the Ettinger trade with Shawinigan... which also got us the pick that was used to select Crawford.
