1-1 after the first period. Tremblay with the goal. This kid is making a case for himself.

I propose that the Wildcats start a new tradition. Have the final pre-season game at the Coliseum, only charge a toonie and a food bank donation to get in. You would get plenty of fans, and replenish the food banks that are suffering after the summer vacation season. It would make for families who normally can not afford the games and great PR.

Lots of costs involved in putting on a hockey game at the Coliseum ... who will pay the ushers, security, cost of lighting, arena staff, building rent, etc. Its a good idea but it requires somebody take on a big expense with no return other than feeling good. A better idea might be $10 tickets and $2 from every ticket goes to food banks ... plus other cash and food doanations.

They'd also have to put the ice in the Coliseum earlier than usual. The ice is being done up with all the logos right now as we speak.

Well, why not just use the 4 plex and offer a cheap rate for those that bring a can good. Further more, make the inter squad games a must have can good non perishable item to enter or a small donation. I think this could be done on the honor system as well, the majority of fans will participate, those that don't, it wont be the break down of the food banks I'm sure

The Wildcats usually have a night or two through the season that is a food bank night ... its not like they aren't already doing this.

that is true ..they do it already... guess what we should be saying is if we feel the food bank needs help, then go pick up a few things and drop it off.. dont wait for an organization to arrange something.
