Only one spot up for grabs, it's between Fortune, Sasha #61, Milson and Lane and it'll prob be #61 Sasha who gets it.

Eagles Sill Cameron Biduke Lessard Brannon Brown MacAusland Fomin are etched in stone, Bissonnette Roski Tremblay makes 12, that leaves Lane Motlokov Petterson Stephens plus Milson and Fortune with Querry and Noseworthy now gone. If Lane is signed i'm not sure they can cut him now and Petterson is also signed and looked pretty good. I guess Sacha was brought in to maybe take Stephens' spot?? Stephens showed a few flashes tonight, but was it enough, can he get enough ice time on this team to develop as a skill player? I'd be inclined to try and find him a spot in Jr.A locally and see if he can develop, maybe the step from a low MAAA at 16 to QMJHL is too high.

There's 14 forwards signed as of right now, so those 14 will be on the team. It's between 4 players for 1 spot. IMO It'll be between Lane & Motlokov for last spot. We'll know by tomorrow what Flynn decides. I'm almost positive the 14 Forwards signed are here for the year unless trades or assigned to JR. A. He wants 15 Forwards all year.

Molotkow had a pretty decent game tonight. To compare him with Lane, he has better foot speed and can be more creative with the puck... he seems to have a bit of a nose for the net, looking for the optimal place to be and being more "handsy"... whereas Lane will basically just stand in front of the opposing goalie hoping to create a screen and/or have a puck go off his body and into the net.
It's hard to make a call... especially considering Molotkow has been in camp for only a week or so... but if you were to base things on one game, I would keep Molotkow, if the decision was reduced to between him and Lane. Although Lane does bring more of a "presence", Molotkow brings more tangibles (not to mention pure skill) to the lineup.
If Molotkow doesn't show up... perhaps Jordan Lane gets the last spot.

They seem to be different players, one is an enforcer and the other is a grinder with size and a bit of skill.

You guys actually signed Lane?
The kid can't even stand on his skates when he his barely hit, let alone take a punch from a rookie in Marshall Worden (who none-the-less can't even stand up to Dan Dooley)
Are there just no one else out there that actually have balance on their skates?

I guess it boils down to do you want a fighter or a crash and bang guy. In all honesty Moloktow brought more to the table tonight. Big hit, scoring chances and skates well with Sill and Brannon. Really like that line and could mean trouble for a lot of teams. they skate hard and hit even harder. Was fun to watch. A fighter is no good if thry can't catch the prey.
