Does someone have something against Scott Brannon? First game gets the first two goals and lays out a couple nice hits and in the second game gets the GWG and insurance marker and played well at both ends, and he gets nothing out of it. I think who ever picks the stars must be blind or has something against Brannon.

He deserved a star in both games. Maybe 3rd time will be a charm on the 21st...

Les Stoodley picked them tonight. I was very disappointing last night but I shrugged it off but tonight, well that's just ridiculous.

The only thing I can think of for tonight is that whoever chose them "sent" in their picks sometime in the third.. and of course Brannon only scored at the very end. Nonetheless though, he deserved to be named a star.

That was a joke. I was sure Brannon got a star tn. What the hell does he need to do? Hat trick, 15 hits and knock someone out??

Nonetheless though, he deserved to be named a star. You are right. There is actually someone who went to Les with about 9 minutes left to play to know his three stars and had like 30 secs to decide. Both goalies deserved the top 2 stars (according to the dangerous shots count) because of course... we couldnt watch the game since the video broadcast didnt work again tonight.

It is actually a brillant conspiracy on behalf of the Cats organisation. As soon as you start giving him a star, he will think he is a goal scorer instead of a heavy hitter, and abandon the physical play.

I have always thought that Brannon had the shot to put the puck in the net. I just hope he continues doing it cause he creates a lot of chances with his tenacity and speed. Especially on the PK. Glad to see him and Stephens start out so strong.

Agree with the stars issue. The first game Brannon was way ahead of Duffy. And should have been the second star that night. Stephens did deserve his First.

Regardless of Duffy's two goals, PEI did not deserve a star that game ... they were completely outplayed from start to finish, and showed little energy ... Duffy's star should have went to Brannon. Last night I thought Brannon should have been a star ahead of Gormley, who wasn't bad but didn't really do anything special.

Not that I put a lot of weight into it, but the 1st 2 games, the stars have been very weird. ...on another note, why the heck does whoever choses them need to give it 10 min before the end? Could they not just have a Wc employee with a cell phone checking with whichever media member choses them and call down right after the final buzzer.

I agree...the way it is now, Cats could be down 3-0 in the third. Brannon could score 4 goals on 4 shots and he wouldn't get a star but the opposing goalie would.

It also has to be coordinated with 2 employees in the runways so they can grab the players as they come off the ice. That's what makes it dicey timewise.
