Wonder if Lane and MacNeil will be looking at suspensions for their actions last night? Did anyone see what set off the second fight - MacNeil seemed to go berserk, but he was the one that got the instigator, what got him so riled up?

Why would Lane get 2 games when the other guy instigated it?
Not that he'll be badly missed against Lewy and Halifax.

I heard Lane will get 2 games. If Lane gets two, the guy with bad hair should get 5 games. He did get the instigating and also started the fight while a goal was being reviewed during stoppage of play. What Lane said to him to set him off wasn't all that bad...just made reference to his inability to take a punch The guy bad hair guy has a pretty short fuse...very entertaining.

MacNeil, for what it is worth, got 2 for instigating, 5 for fighting and double 10 and game misconducts ... Lane only got 5, 10 and a game - so if he is in line for a 2 game suspension, one would think MacNeil is going to get at least 5 ... V-D will have to play short a 20 while MacNeil is suspended ... don't know why they would bother using a 20 year old spot on him in the first place, hard to imagine that they couldn't find someone much better at a low cost ...

Don't forget Dido got 2 games for yapping. Not sure what he said but it warranted 2 games from a non goon/fighter/dirty player.

Lane could have been assigned an aggressor penalty ... but the Ref didn't give him one ... his antics after the linesmen jumped in were what usually gets an aggressor call. Lane got his game misconduct for it being his second fight ... and with that he accumulates one code 4 violation.

Could somebody please give me a recap of the 2 fights ?...It's pretty pathetic that this is something like the 5th fight in the league this year and we're already talking about guys getting 5 game suspensions from the Quebec goverment or oops i meant qmjhl hehe.Hopefully if suspensions for fighting are being handed out they are at least deserved. Thanks in advance to anybody that can provide a recap for me ! P.S-I assume we're talking about Kyle McNeil....not MacNeil

Suspensions in the Q. With the way the dictators of the Belle Province are headng this league, it wont be long before it is a non checking, non slap shot league. Suspensions for having a fe good fights! This is freakin' stupid. As for Lane, I was impressed with his fighting poise, his reach is insane and he is very tall, so for a fighter oops enforcer, oops, non skating talented player, he looks like he could fit the Cats role well.

If suspensions result from this, IMO the only reason will be because the fight broke out while play was stopped and the refs were at the penalty box sorting out the previous goal and subsequent penalty .. had they waited for puck drop I doubt suspensions would have resulted.

Lane was pretty rough with the linesman after that fight. I could see a suspension resulting from that.

They didn't give him the "aggressor" and that is usually what comes from getting rough with the linesman while trying to get at the opponent. I thought he was pretty close to getting an aggressor penalty.

Agreed, but I think a few slap shots towards the ref in any given gam should be in order.
