Matt Boyle is a great asset to the team. I feel he is sometimes underrated as a whole. He is willing to fight or stand up for his team and is a very decent defenseman. He was a great pick up for a 7th round pick.

Solid 5th or 6th Dman, Will do anything for his team mates as well as a very approachable guy off the ice,
I agree solid 7th round pick

He was a great pick up for a 7th round pick. He's a solid player. He should never at any point be associated with the word great. You just kill your credibility when you say that.

I mean he is a great asset for a 7th round pick. I agree solid player but not great.
He is great in perspective for a 7th. Compare him with most 7th round pick Forget about those 7th that were hinting the US route that a team takes a risk on. I think he would stand in the top 5 this season.

as Carey says he may not be great but if you ask his teams mates they appreciate how he would stand up for anyone. To really appreciate him you would know his history over the last couple of years since being drafted to Moncton. His injuries broken nose twice, concussion out 2 weeks, torn knee cartlidge scope surgery out for 3 months, comes back and requires complete knee surgeryfor ligiament tears out for the year 6 months rehab. Works hard comes to camp in top shape but not not the ice for a year struggles to make a spot.Fights a couple of times to prove that he wants to be here bad.His play improves alot and then he brakes his foot out again for 2 months starts back again plays ok but not great .At the end of the year he finds out his shoulder is busted and requires surgery.Rehabs for another 3 months comes to camp and finishes 2nd behind Matt Brenton. This kid is not a star but he is a warrior and I love warriors who give you what they have.I hope all this injury bad luck is over and he has a good year.If he gets traded any team should be happy to have him.
