Just heard from a very good maritime source that CB will be moving Holden at the Draft, the source also says the Eagles will be looking for a 16yr from the maritimes to replace him, anyone else here this rumour?

Makes sense. I was expecting Holden to be moved this week as keeping a 19yr old backup isn't fair to the player, especially in a season where we're not going to contend.
Hopefully we can get a decent draft pick in return....I'd put his value at a 3rd rounder or so.

Anyone have any guesses on which team might be interested in acquiring Holden?
My guess is Lewiston if they are moving Delmas as rumoured.

If it's a 16 year old goalie, probably Tingley from Halifax Macs. There's also Robert Steeves that played for Rothesay Netherwood but he's pretty set on NCAA. Unless CB has a deal worked out with him. Dieppe of MJAHL picked him as their territorial pick. He's a Moncton product. All signs are pointing at goalie Jordan Kennedy will be picked by Lewiston as their 2nd round pick.

I'm predicting Moncton Yeah ... he'd be a good option to come in and share the load with Domingue ... he is good enough to be a Q #1 IMO. Sort of like Sniderman did with Riopel in Riopel's first season (at 17). However ... are either of them good enough to allow this team to contend ? I dunno ... Time will tell.

Reports out of Cape Breton say the Kennedy camp has been contacted by the Eagles any chance of them jumping up and taking the local boy before Lewiston get him!

Well most didn't look at Lavigne as a serious threat when he went to Quebec last year, and that's not to compare Lavigne to Holden at all. It's just an example of the more expensive options not necessarily being the best options for some teams. If Moncton has the type of club most expect I think an LBD-Holden combo for the first half could prove to be a good duo and allows them to re-evaluate at Xmas if necessary. Most teams look for 19yr olds who can share the load this time of year so it'll be interesting to see where he goes

A 4th would seem fair unless there is a 2nd tier prospect that CB wants(Cadet?).

It seems like a Hali type move. I'd rather not but it would depend on the cost. I'd rather see them give Corbeil lots of time this year.

Desjardins was the MVP in the Mem Cup after working a year with Pat Roy. Lavigne became much better after leaving Moncton and working with Roy. Desfossé was below average until Roy got ahold of him. Not the same situation at all re: Holden going to Moncton. Any goalie going to Quebec will improve more than going to any other team. Roy seems to take guys that are adequate and turns them in to top 5 goalies.

This makes sense as it's time for the Eagles to draft a new goalie to replace Roy down the road... good luck to Holden wherever he lands if this is indeed true.

I could see CB taking Kennedy in the 1st rd...hes that good in my opinion, way better than Tingley, despite where CSR has them ranked.
